    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may perform a probabilistic shaping procedure using a shaping rate that is selected in accordance with a rule associated with a target spectral efficiency value, a modulation order, or both. Similarly, the wireless device may perform a channel coding procedure whose coding rate is selected in accordance with the rule. The rule may correspond to a relationship between the coding rate and the shaping rate. In some cases, the wireless device may select the shaping rate and the coding rate to be predefined values based on a target spectral efficiency value. In some examples, the wireless device may select the shaping rate and the coding rate based on a threshold coding rate, a quantity of punctured nodes used in the channel coding procedure, a quantity of layers corresponding to a multi-layer transmission, or any combination thereof.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may perform a lifting procedure on a base graph including multiple variable nodes and multiple check nodes to obtain a lifted graph. The lifting procedure may include replacing each edge between multiple variable nodes and multiple check nodes of the base graph with a respective identity matrices with respective circular shift values. The base graph may include a punctured variable node which corresponds to each of one or more check nodes of the plurality of check nodes via multiple edges. The transmitting device may encode multiple information nodes and multiple parity nodes according to the lifted graph. The transmitting device may transmit a signal including multiple information bits and multiple parity bits based on encoding the multiple information nodes and the multiple parity nodes.

    Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a transmitting wireless device and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the device determines, based on the first parameter associated with a Forward Error Correction (FEC) process and a second parameter associated with a probabilistic shaping process, the transport block (TB) size for a TB associated with a signal to be transmitted, and performs the probabilistic shaping process on a first set of data bits of the signal on the TB to obtain a second set of transmit bits. The TB cyclic redundancy check (CRC) is inserted into the TB before or after the probabilistic shaping process, and the probabilistic shaping process is applied on the TB level across multiple code blocks (CBs) associated with the TB or on the CB level individually inside each CB of the multiple CBs. The device further transmits the signal using the second set of transmit bits.

A remote UE may identify a quasi-colocation relationship between one or more control regions of resources during a time interval and a set of data regions of the resources during the time interval. In some examples, the set of data regions may include at least a first data region for a first relay UE and a second data region for a second relay UE. The remote UE may identify, according to the quasi-colocation relationship, one or more symbol periods for one or more automatic gain control measurements. The remote UE performs the one or more automatic gain control measurements on signals received in the one or more symbol periods and receive a first data message in the first data region and a second data message in the second data region.

A user equipment (UE) may report a time-domain model and parameters to indicate how one or more characteristics, such as a phase, of ports used to transmit reference signals can change across time. For example, the UE may determine one or more sets of transmission parameters associated with a reference signal type, where the one or more sets of transmission parameters can enable a receiving device to bundle reference signals of the reference signal type. The UE may transit an indication of these one or more sets of transmission parameters to the receiving device, where the indication can be associated with how a characteristic of the ports of the UE varies across time. Based on the indication of one or more sets of transmission parameters, the receiving device may receive reference signals and bundle (e.g., combine) the reference signals.
