    摘要: In a connector fitting structure, one connector includes an inner housing, having lock arms, and an outer housing having a slider slidably mounted therein. The other connector includes a housing, and engagement projections for abutment against the slider and for respectively elastically deforming the lock arms are formed on this housing. Second retaining portions, which are engageable respectively with first retaining portions formed on the one connector, are formed respectively on engagement arms 16 provided at a second slide member of the slider. Stoppers, which prevent the cancellation of the engagement of the first retaining portions with the second retaining portions before starting the connector fitting operation, are formed on a first slide member of the slider.

    摘要: An elastic retaining piece portion (23a) is formed on a terminal retainer (17), and has a completely-retaining portion (23b) at a distal end thereof and an engagement-canceling tapering portion (23c) on a distal end surface thereof. The completely-retaining portion (23a) is engageable with a completely-engaging portion (13c) of a connector housing (13) to retain the terminal retainer (17) in a completely-engaging position relative to the connector housing (13). When the engagement-canceling tapering portion (23c) is pressed by a removal jig (25) which has been inserted in the connector housing through a jig insertion port (13e) so as to be disposed substantially in alignment with the engagement-canceling tapering portion (23c), the elastic retaining piece portion (23a) is retracted while elastically deformed in a direction causing the completely-retaining portion (23b) to be disengaged from the completely-engaging portion (13c).

    摘要: An incomplete-engagement prevention type connector assembly including male and female connectors which has an incomplete-engagement preventing function and is used, for instance, in an electrical system in an automobile. In the connector assembly, in an engaging section of the male connector an engaging member is protruded in the direction of engagement, and a flexible engaging auxiliary member is provided. The lower surface of the front end portion of the engaging auxiliary member is a sloped surface. Furthermore, in the engaging section, a pair of right and left engaging lock members are protruded. On the other hand, a sloped surface is formed on the upper surface of the housing of the female connector. Behind the sloped surface on the upper surface of the housing, provided are an engaging fixation section adapted to lock the engaging member, and disengaging members adapted to disengaged the male and female connectors from each other. The front end portions of the disengaging members are formed into hook members having tapered surfaces.

    摘要: A connector arrangement including a cam mechanism for interconnecting connector housings, in which the number of component parts is reduced and the strength is increased. The connector arrangement includes a first connector housing having a pair of support walls extending therefrom, each of the support walls having a protruding pin; a cam lever pivotally supported on each pin with the cam lever having a pair of cam grooves formed therein; a second connector including a following arm extending therefrom which includes pair of projections which are receivable in the cam grooves whereupon rotation of the cam lever causes the first and second connectors to be joined together; a temporary locking member extending from each of the support walls for retaining the cam lever in a temporary angular position at which the projections are insertable into the cam grooves; and a complete locking member extending from each of the support walls for retaining the cam lever in a completely locked angular position where the first and second connectors are completely engaged with each other. The temporary and complete locking members are integral to the support walls, respectively. The arrangement further includes rotation prevention members provided on the support walls for limiting rotation of the cam lever to a predetermined angle.

    摘要: A male terminal in which a connection portion can be easily shaped, and deformation of the connection portion is prevented so as to ensure an electrical connection of the connection portion to a female terminal. The connection portion is formed at a front end of the male terminal, and is adapted to be electrically connected to a female terminal. The connection portion includes a bottom base portion and a contact portion, and the connection portion is bent and folded, with the contact portion superposed on the bottom base portion. A curved recess (reinforcement portion) is formed by bending at a generally central portion of the contact portion, and the reinforcement portion projects into an internal space of the connection portion, and is held in contact with the bottom base portion. By thus forming the curved reinforcement portion at the contact portion, and by holding the reinforcement portion in contact with the bottom base portion, the strength of the contact portion is increased. Therefore, when an external force acts on the contact portion or the bottom base portion, the contact portion and the bottom base portion are positively prevented from being deformed or crushed into the space.

    摘要: There is disclosed an LIF (low insertion force) connector in which a slider can be positioned with a simple construction, and an insertion/withdrawal force, required for inserting and withdrawing a connector relative to a mating connector, can be reduced, and wear and deformation of a slider-retaining portion can be positively prevented. In the LIF connector, a driven shaft of a second connector is inserted into a through hole formed in a first connector, and a slider, having cam grooves, is slid over the first connector to linearly move the driven shaft, thereby inserting and withdrawing the second connector relative to the first connector. A retaining projection, which stops the sliding movement of the slider, and positions inlets of the cam grooves relative to the through hole in the first connector, is formed on the first connector at a substantially rearmost end of an extent of sliding movement of the slider.

A hood portion of the female connector is inserted between upper and lower flanges of the hood assembly with anchoring holes provided on the hood assembly and anchoring projections provided on the female connector in positions shifted from each other, and the hood assembly and the female connector are slid in this state into a normal position where the anchoring projections engage the anchoring holes.
