One of the connector housings is slidably received within the slide member. When moving the slide member in one direction, the tip end portion of the lever engages with one engaging portion of the other connector housing to draw the one of the connector housings within the other connector housing, thereby attaching the male type and female type connector housings to each other. When moving the slide member in a direction opposite to the one direction, another tip portion of the lever engages with the other engaging portion of the other connector housing to detach one of the connector housings from the other connector housing.

When the switch unit is mounted to the door trim fixed to the door panel, the second connector is guided by a guide member on the door panel so as to fit to the first connector at a predetermined position. Accordingly, the connector can be easily fitted. Further, a poor connection and a disconnection of the wire harness can be securely prevented.

    摘要: The connection structure includes a case having an insertion recess, in which a flexible printed circuit board (called FPC hereinafter) is provided, and a connector having a terminal to contact the FPC. The connector is insertable in the recess so that a conductor of the FPC can electrically connect to the terminal. Between the case and the FPC, a hollow frame having a hardness larger than the case is provided. The connector may have a lock arm with a locking protrusion and the hollow frame has a guide channel for receiving the lock arm. The guide channel having a locking portion associated with the locking protrusion. The connector may have a pivoting lever being pivotably supported by an axis provided on an outer surface of the housing, and the terminal has a resilient contact piece extending from the housing. The pivoting lever is able to pivot freely from the resilient contact piece. The pivoting lever has a locking portion at one end thereof and a movement limiting portion at the other end thereof. The hollow frame has a locking channel and a retaining slit respectively associated with the locking portion and the movement limiting portion. The movement limiting portion engages with the retaining slit so that the connector can be inserted into the recess with a reduced mating force.

This connector has stopper protrusions on its housing main body, and the stopper protrusions are to be engaged with lock arms standing from the inner wall surfaces of the attachment slots formed in the frame of a movable connector. A pair of guide ribs are formed on both sides of each of the stopper protrusions so as to prevent displacement of the lock arms. The guide ribs are arranged in parallel with the insertion direction of the connector. After the connector is inserted into the attachment slots, the rear end surfaces of the guide ribs are situated on the same plane as the contact surface of the frame. With this structure, the connector can be prevented from slipping off the attachment slots of the movable connector even if external force larger than the insertion of force is exerted on the connector.

    摘要: A lever fitting connector for connecting electrical members includes a female connector having a hood-like outer peripheral wall, a male connector fitted into the female connector and an operation lever body pivotally supported on an outer face of a side wall of the male connector. An engaging projection is provided at one end of the operation lever body, for engaging with the outer peripheral wall of the female connector. An operation portion is provided at the other end of the operation lever body. A cooperation lever is supported pivotally on the outer face of the side wall of the male connector. One end of the cooperation lever is connected with the operation lever body, and an engaging projection is placed at the other end thereof. When the operational portion of the operation lever is pressed, the engaging projection of the operation lever is pivotally moved about a portion where the engaging projection is engaged with the outer peripheral wall. Similarly, the cooperation lever is pivotally moved about a portion where the engaging projection of the cooperation lever is engaged with the outer peripheral wall of the female connector. As a result, the male connector is fitted into the female connector.
