摘要: Dangers to autonomous vehicles may be reduced. A backup control computing device includes a memory and a processor. The processor is programmed to (1) receive an indication of an anomalous event, the anomalous event including one of a geomagnetic interference event and a cyber-attack event; (2) perform a threat assessment for the anomalous event relative to an automation system of a vehicle, the automation system is configured to control an aspect of autonomous operation of the vehicle; (3) determine one or more mitigating actions to perform on the automation system based upon the threat assessment, the one or more mitigating actions are configured to reduce a danger to the vehicle presented by the anomalous event; and (4) perform the one or more mitigating actions on the automation system, thereby reducing danger to the vehicle presented by the anomalous event.

摘要: Methods and systems for monitoring use, determining risk, and pricing insurance policies for a vehicle having one or more autonomous or semi-autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, a computer-implemented method for communicating information regarding a smart infrastructure component to an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be provided. Sensors may be communicatively connected to an infrastructure communication device, and the infrastructure communication device may generate a message based upon information from the sensors and/or regarding the infrastructure component. The message may be transmitted, and, with the vehicle operator's permission, all or part of the determined message may be presented to the operator of the autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle. The message may include weather, traffic, ice, or road condition or construction information and facilitate safer vehicle travel. Insurance discounts for customers may be generated based upon their vehicle being equipped with this safety and vehicle damage prevention functionality.

摘要: A computer-implemented method is provided for adjusting at least one of a visual or an auditory setting correlated to the provision of entertainment within a vehicle. The method includes receiving information indicative of one or more changes in behavior that coincides with a provision of entertainment within a vehicle. The information indicative of the one or more changes in behavior is based on data captured by one or more sensors of the vehicle. The method includes analyzing the one or more changes in behavior in order to determine a modification to the provision of entertainment within the vehicle. The modification is commensurate with the one or more changes in behavior. The method includes based on the determined modification, providing, an output signal for adjusting at least one of a visual or an auditory setting correlated to the provision of entertainment within the vehicle.

After which, a change in the operating status of the autonomous features may be identified, and a report containing information regarding the change in the operating status of the autonomous features may be generated. Insurance discounts may be provided to risk averse customers that maintain their autonomous vehicles, and associated accident avoidance functionality, in good working condition.

Additional aspects may recommend or install updates to the autonomous operation features based upon determined risk levels. Some aspects may include monitoring transportation infrastructure and communicating information about the infrastructure to vehicles.

摘要: According to certain aspects, a computer-implemented method for operating an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be provided. With the customer's permission, an identity of a vehicle operator may be identified and a vehicle operator profile may be retrieved. Operating data regarding autonomous operation features operating the vehicle may be received from vehicle-mounted sensors. When a request to disable an autonomous feature is received, a risk level for the autonomous feature is determined and compared with a driver behavior setting for the autonomous feature stored in the vehicle operator profile. Based upon the risk level comparison, the autonomous vehicle retains control of vehicle or the autonomous feature is disengaged depending upon which is the safer driver—the autonomous vehicle or the vehicle human occupant. As a result, unsafe disengagement of self-driving functionality for autonomous vehicles may be alleviated. Insurance discounts may be provided for autonomous vehicles having this safety functionality.

摘要: Systems and methods detecting onboard sensor tampering are disclosed. According to embodiments, data captured by interior sensors within a vehicle may be analyzed to determine an indication that the activity of the vehicle operator either cannot be sufficiently detected or cannot be sufficiently identified using the captured data (e.g., that the captured data may be compromised). A date and time associated with the indication may be recorded, and a vehicle operator associated with the indication may be identified. A possible cause for the compromised data may be diagnosed, and notification may be generated indicating that the activity of the vehicle operator either cannot be sufficiently detected or cannot be sufficiently identified, and/or the possible cause. Additionally, a recommendation for restoring sensor functionality may be generated for the vehicle operator based the possible cause.

摘要: Systems and methods for analyzing sensor data to determine an inferred emotional state of a vehicle operator and generate a recommendation based on the inferred emotional state are disclosed. According to embodiments, an electronic device may analyze image data depicting a vehicle operator to identify a behavior. The electronic device may also compare vehicle dynamics data to baseline vehicle dynamics data to determine if the vehicle dynamics data differs from the baseline vehicle dynamics data by a threshold amount. Based on the identified behavior and the vehicle dynamics data, the electronic device may determine an inferred emotional state of the vehicle operator. The electronic device may generate a recommendation for the vehicle operator based on the inferred emotional state.
