The control unit is provided with a voltage source and a reference resistor that can be connected in series to a sensor resistor whose value depends on the temperature thereof. An output voltage of the voltage source drops on the sensor resistor and the reference resistor in the connected state. The reference resistor is dimensioned in such a way that the maximum power loss of the sensor resistor lies in the specified value range of the sensor resistor.
