摘要: A sealing construction is disclosed herein for a casing preferably for an electric shaver which is formed by first and second casing members which are to be pressed together through an annular sealing element to provide a seal between the sealing surfaces of the first and second casing members. The first casing member is formed in its sealing surface with an annular groove for retaining the annular sealing element in position, such sealing element being made of elastic material and having an axially projecting and rounded top portion above the sealing surface of the first casing member. Also projected on the second casing member is an annular plug of convex-shaped in cross section which aligns with said annular sealing element so as to be engageable with the rounded top portion thereof. When the first and second casing members are compressed together, the rounded top portion of the sealing element is deformed by being urged by the annular plug in such a way as to wrap around the annular plug both radially inwardly and outwardly thereof, providing an effective seal between the sealing surfaces of said first and second casing members.

摘要: Memories containing command decoder, chip enable, and signal truncation circuits are disclosed. One such command decoder circuit may include command decoder logic configured to receive command signals and output a decoded command to an interconnect bus responsive to a chip select signal having an active state. Decoder circuits may also prevent coupling commands to the interconnect bus based on the receipt of chip select signals having inactive states. The memory further may include chip enable circuits having control logic configured to receive chip select signals and provide the chip select signals to an interconnect bus responsive to receiving a valid command. Chip enable circuits may also prevent coupling chip select signals to the interconnect bus from chip enable signals based on the receipt of invalid command signals. Signal truncation circuits may be used to shorten and/or shift chip select signals to increase timing margins and improve the reliability of command execution by memories.

摘要: A thermal printer having a thermal printhead with energy save features which is capable of high speed and high quality printing is provided. The thermal printer has an energy storage device and a thermal printhead including a substrate, a resistor layer formed on one surface of the substrate, and a thermoelectric element disposed on the other surface of the substrate opposite to where the resistor layer is formed, wherein the thermoelectric element converts heat generated by the resistor layer to electrical energy when a temperature difference between the resistor layer and an opposite side of the thermoelectric element where the resistor layer is disposed nearby becomes large enough for the thermoelectric element to convert heat into electric energy, and the electrical energy is stored in the energy storage device.

摘要: When controlling the audio signal to the mute mode from an unmute mode, first, the muting circuit switches from the non-attenuating state to the attenuating state to cause the muting circuit to attenuate the audio signal by the predetermined amount of attenuation, and then, the amount of attenuation by the volume control section is set to the maximum amount of attenuation to cause the volume control section to attenuate the audio signal by the maximum amount of attenuation.

摘要: A detection unit to optically detect a discharge condition of a droplet is disclosed. The detection unit includes a light emitting element and a light receiving element disposed on opposite sides of an area through which a droplet discharged from a droplet-discharger passes. A diaphragm plate having an aperture and another diaphragm plate having at least two apertures arranged at a pitch in a discharge direction are respectively disposed near front surfaces of the two elements. When light emitted from the light emitting element passes through the apertures, two light beams are received by the light receiving element. When the droplet is discharged and passes in front of the apertures, the two light beams are blocked sequentially by the ink droplet, which causes the quantity of light received by the light receiving element to change, thereby inducing a change in an output from the light receiving element. Based on the change in the output, a discharge-condition of the droplet is determined.
