Abstract:
A computer system is provided that is capable of reducing an administrator's operational errors by connecting a new server to a SAN and automating a SAN boot setting, and capable of lightening the administrator's task of checking for a wrong connection by detecting a wrong connection made when a new server is connected to an SNW connection device. Once a new server connected to a PnP SAN starts with a boot program obtained from a boot management server, the new server transmits configuration information on the new server to a resource management server. In response to a request from the resource management server, a storage device refers to PnP SAN information to transmit SAN information on a storage network connection device to which the new server is connected. The resource management server determines to add the new server to a resource group on the basis of the SAN information and requirement information. The resource management server sets the storage device and the new server for SAN-booting the new server.
Abstract:
Efficiently utilizing the bandwidth of the host interface unit even after restoration. A controller manages a storage area of a disk as multiple logical units (LUs), as well as measures the bandwidth used by each host interface unit as load information, stores the load information at the time of the backup, and at the time of the restoration, restores the backup data in logical units in the restoration destination and, with reference to the load information, distributes the paths connecting the logical units in the access source and the logical units in the restoration destination to the host interface units.
Abstract:
A magnetic member is interposed and arranged between an antenna element and a printed circuit board, and an air member or a dielectric member is interposed between the antenna element and the magnetic member. The magnetic member is constituted of a nanogranular structure in which magnetic nanoparticles with ferromagnetism are three-dimensionally dispersed and arranged in an insulating matrix substrate.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a load sharing method in a computer system including a first storage subsystem, a host computer, and a management computer. In the computer system, the first storage subsystem creates a plurality of first logical units from a storage area of a disk drive group, and the host computer creates a logical storage area configured by a plurality of virtual logical units respectively corresponding to the first logical units. A communications path is set between the host computer and each of the first logical units configuring the logical storage area. The load sharing method includes the steps of: monitoring, by the first storage subsystem, a load of its own; and changing, by the first storage subsystem, the communications paths between the host computer and the first logical units based on the monitoring result of the load. With such a configuration, provided is a computer system high in extensibility not deteriorating the performance at the limit of the system after load sharing among the storage subsystems.
Abstract:
An antenna element made of an electrically conductive material pattern is printed and formed on a face of a casing made of an electrically nonconductive material having a circuit board housed therein, and the antenna element and the circuit board are electrically connected to each other by a connecting element.
Abstract:
A wireless communication device includes: a case that includes a dielectric member made of a first dielectric material, the dielectric member being coated with a coating layer made of a second dielectric material; a wireless communication circuit that is housed in the case; an antenna element that is electrically connected to the wireless communication circuit, the antenna element being made of a conductive material and provided on a surface of the dielectric member; and an adhesive layer that is disposed between the antenna element and the dielectric member to adhere the antenna element onto the dielectric member, the adhesive layer being made of a third dielectric material.
Abstract:
To provide a technique by which, if the number of active disk groups in a storage device is restricted, an appropriate logical volume in the storage device can be used. A management apparatus manages a storage device provided externally. The management apparatus obtains management data indicating which of a plurality of disk groups included in the storage device is active, from the storage device. In addition, the management apparatus executes predetermined processing with reference to the management data in order to utilize a logical volume belonging to a disk group in the storage device while ensuring that the number of active disk groups in the storage device does not exceed an upper limit value.
Abstract:
A radio apparatus having a printed board and an antenna element is provided. The antenna element is configured to be fed at a feed portion provided in the printed board. The antenna element includes a portion arranged parallel to the printed board. The anisotropic dielectric material is arranged in such a way that a direction of a maximum permittivity value of the anisotropic dielectric material equals a direction of the portion of the antenna element arranged parallel to the printed board. The anisotropic dielectric material is arranged in contact with the portion of the antenna element arranged parallel to the printed board.

Abstract:
To restrict data transmission to a mobile terminal according to a location of the mobile terminal when the mobile terminal requests data to a second computer, the mobile terminal does not log in the second computer. A communication method for a communication system having a first computer and the second computer, the first computer sends location information of the mobile terminal to the second computer, and the second computer controls data which is to be sent to the first computer according to an access right based on a predetermined location information by referring to received location information. Thereby, it can be controlled data sent to the mobile terminal.
