    摘要: Toner prints with efficiently enhanced gamut are provided. In one aspect a toner print comprises a receiver and a toner image fused to the receiver. The toner image has a first area with a first density at a first hue angle formed by a first amount of a fluorescent toner colorant at the first area; and, a second area with a second density at the first hue angle formed by a second amount of the fluorescent toner color that is lower than the first amount of fluorescent toner colorant. The second density is greater than the first density.

    摘要: Systems are provided for determining toner color having a processor that generates a fluorescent toner color image that when printed using a corresponding fluorescent toner will generate a diffuse fluorescent color light that reduces the extent to which noise induced variations in density in a noise evident portion of a toner print are observable. The processor further adjusts reflective toner color images used to form the toner print so that the reflective toner color images combine with the fluorescent color image to form a target color image.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for fusing a heat curable toner to a carrier sheet having said toner thereon. In the method, the toner is sandwiched between said carrier sheet and a movable fuser belt and heated to a first temperature by a first means, which first temperature is above a first glass transformation temperature of the toner. The toner is kept at an elevated temperature for a predetermined time by a second means, which elevated temperature is above the first glass transformation temperature, thereby raising the glass transformation temperature of the toner to a second glass transformation temperature. The apparatus has at least a first endless fuser belt, first heating means for heating the toner to a first temperature, second heating means located downstream of said first heating means for keeping the toner at an elevated temperature for a predetermined time and control means for controlling the first and second heating means.

    摘要: A color toner image with a metallic effect can be prepared by forming one or more latent images and developing them with metallic dry toner particles and color toner particles. The developed color toner image can be transferred to a receiver material, and fixed to provide a color toner image with a metallic effect. The metallic dry toner particles have a polymeric binder phase and non-conductive metal oxide particles dispersed therein. Before fixing, the metallic dry toner particle has a mean volume weighted diameter (Dvol) 15-40 μm and the non-conductive metal oxide particles are present in an amount of at least 20-50 weight % based on total metallic dry toner particle weight. The ratio of the metallic dry toner particle Dvol to the average equivalent circular diameter (ECD) of the non-conductive metal oxide particles in the metallic dry toner particles is greater than 0.1 and up to and including 10.

Glossmark technology is for controlling the differential gloss of an image using the steps selecting a first halftone image having a first anisotropic structure, selecting a second halftone image having a second structure different from that of the first halftone, applying the first halftone to at least some portion of the halftone image and applying the second halftone to another portion of the halftone image.

    摘要: The present invention provides a method of printing which includes providing a substrate having an inked surface. The inked surface is typically achieved using an offset lithographic printing press. A thermoplastic polymer powder is applied to the inked surface. The surface is then fused. An advantage of the prepared substrate is that there is reduced contamination of electrostatographic fusing systems when fused by heat and pressure fixing. Another aspect of the invention further provides a method of fusing a substrate having an inked surface wherein a thermoplastic powder has been applied to the inked surface prior to stacking the uncured offset prints.
