    摘要: An asymmetric microporous membrane with exceptional solvent resistance and highly desirable permeability is disclosed. The membrane is made by a solution-casting or solution-spinning process from a copolyamic acid comprising the condensation reaction product in a solvent of at least three reactants selected from certain diamines and dianhydrides and post-treated to imidize and in some cases cross-link the copolyamic acid. The membrane is useful as an uncoated membrane for ultrafiltration, microfiltration, and membrane contactor applications, or may be used as a support for a permselective coating to form a composite membrane useful in gas separations, reverse osmosis, nanofiltration, pervaporation, or vapor permeation.

    摘要: A process for the removal of at least one non-water vapor component of a vaporous mixture, the basic process comprising directing a vaporous mixture against the feed side of a membrane, directing a condensable vapor sweep stream past the permeate side of the membrane in a manner such that the flow of the condensable vapor sweep is substantially countercurrent to the flow of the vaporous mixture, thereby transporting at least a portion of at least one non-water vapor component of the vaporous mixture from the feed side to the permeate side of the membrane to form a combined permeate side mixture of condensable vapor and at least one non-water vapor transported component.

    摘要: The process comprises delivering a spray solution comprising an active agent and a matrix material in an organic solvent to a spray-drying apparatus, atomizing the spray solution into droplets within the spray-drying apparatus to remove at least a portion of the organic solvent from the droplets to form a plurality of particles, and collecting the particles. The spray solution may be formed by forming a feed suspension comprising the active agent, the matrix material, and the organic solvent, wherein the feed suspension is at a temperature T1, and directing the feed suspension to a heat exchanger, thereby increasing the temperature of the feed suspension to a temperature T2, wherein T2 is greater than T1, and the spray solution is at a pressure greater than the vapor pressure of the organic solvent at T2, such that the active agent and matrix material are soluble in the organic solvent at T2.

    摘要: The process comprises delivering a spray solution comprising at least one solute in a solvent to a spray-drying apparatus, using a flash nozzle to atomize the spray solution into droplets within the spray-drying apparatus to remove at least a portion of the solvent from the droplets to form a plurality of particles, and collecting the particles. The spray solution is directed to a heat exchanger, thereby increasing the temperature of the spray solution to a temperature T2, wherein T2 is greater than T1. The flash nozzle comprises a central tube through which the spray solution is delivered and an outer tube through which a sweep gas is delivered. The central tube may have a first outer diameter at an inlet and a second outer diameter at an outlet, wherein the first outer diameter is greater than the second outer diameter.
