Abstract:
A new resistance, weight loss garment worn by user will elevate the heart rate of a user so that the user can expend more calories over an extended period. The garment would contain at least one article of clothing worn on the body of the user, said article of clothing incorporating elastic resistance structures that tend to oppose normal directions of motion thereby causing extra exertion by the user that results in burning more calories over a period of time.
Abstract:
The device according to this invention combines two popular exercises which are rebounding, in which a user uses a trampoline or a spring board and boxing in which a user uses a punching bag and/or speed bag. In addition, the invention is drawn to a method of exercising comprising using the inventive device that comprises a combination of a rebounder and punching bag.
Abstract:
Hair rollers are heated and moistened by being exposed to steam. The invention involves incorporating a scent creating substance such as perfume in the liquid which is heated to create the steam so that the steam incorporates a scent which is thereby applied to the rollers.
Abstract:
An exercise device having at least one shaft, and a weight attached to the shaft. The weight may be attached in a variety of ways, and the amount of weight may be varied depending on the users needs.
Abstract:
A modular step exercise unit includes a plurality of individual steps. Each step is in the form of a base having a horizontal platform which comprises the upper surface of the base with depending sides forming an apron which terminates in a plane parallel to the platform so that the apron can be placed directly on a support surface, such as a floor. The steps may be made of differing size so that during storage or even in certain use conditions, steps which are not being used can be stored within the periphery of the apron of the largest step. A multi-level step can be formed by mounting a smaller step on a larger step. The individual steps could be used abutting each other or spaced from each other to provide a multi-level arrangement which includes individual steps and the floor. If desired the steps could be of the same size as each other which would eliminate the advantage of storing the steps within each other during non-use, but would have the advantage of providing a more symmetrical exercise unit by equal sized steps.
Abstract:
A combination stationary bicycle and step/stair climber exercise device containing a support surface, at least one exercise biking mechanism mounted to the support surface, at least one stepping mechanism mounted to the support surface, at least one pair of pedals connected to the biking mechanism, at least one pair of steps connected to the stepping mechanism, at least one seat connected to the top of the support surface over the biking mechanism, and at least one pair of handle bars mounted to the support surface for use with at least one of the biking mechanisms and the stepping mechanisms.
Abstract:
An aerobic climbing step/bench includes a base in the form of a horizontal platform having a downwardly extending apron. Height adjustability is achieved by the use of detachable legs which are mounted to the base by the interengagement of mounting elements on each leg and complementary mounting elements on the base so that the legs can be slideably engaged in a locking position with the base and slideably detached from the base.
Abstract:
An aerobic step/bench exercise device includes a base having a horizontal platform with downwardly extending sides. The lower surface of the base includes a plurality of spaced leg receiving openings. Each of the openings has at least one notch extending upwardly from the lower surface into which a lateral projection from a respective leg would be inserted to control the extent to which a leg may be inserted into its respective opening.
Abstract:
An exercise step/bench for aerobic climbing and dance includes a base in the form of a horizontal platform having a downwardly and outwardly extending apron. A leg is reverseably mounted against the apron at each corner of the platform. The reverseable mounting of the legs permits height adjustment in accordance with the orientation of each leg.
