Abstract:
An enhanced library accessible by an EDA tool can include a base curve database and a plurality of curve data sets. Each curve data set refers to a standard cell having certain timing characteristics. To determine those timing characteristics, each curve data set identifies at least one base curve (in the base curve database) as well as a starting current, a peak current, a peak voltage, and a peak time. In one embodiment, each base curve can be normalized. The base curve(s), the starting current, peak current, peak voltage, and peak time can accurately model the functioning of the IC device, e.g. represented by an I(V) curve.
Abstract:
This invention provides an apparatus and method for preamble detection and integer carrier frequency offset estimation, which method comprises the steps of: determining the window of useful subcarriers in preamble transformed to frequency domain based on pre-determined possible integer carrier frequency offset and the length of the preamble, so as to select the useful subcarriers; extracting a plurality of subcarrier sequences having a length equal to that of the preamble from the useful subcarriers; calculating conjugative multiplications of each subcarrier and its neighboring subcarriers in the subcarrier sequences extracted; acquiring the real part of the conjugative multiplications; calculating the cross correlations between the real part of the conjugative multiplications and known preambles modulated by DBPSK, and outputting the calculated correlation values; and detecting preamble index of a target base station with the calculated correlation values to select a target cell, and estimating integer carrier frequency offset with respect to the target base station.
Abstract:
Annotation recognition and parsing is accomplished by first recognizing and grouping shapes such that relationships between the annotations and the underlying text and/or images can be determined. The recognition and grouping is followed by categorization of recognized annotations according to predefined types. The classification may be according to functionality, relation to content, and the like. In a third phase, the annotations are anchored to the underlying text or images they are found to be related to.
Abstract:
A method of forming an integrated circuit device structure having a design rule of less than 0.13 micron. The method includes providing a substrate and forming a pad oxide layer overlying the substrate. The method includes forming a nitride layer overlying the pad oxide layer and patterning the nitride layer and pad oxide layer. A trench structure is formed within a thickness of the substrate using the patterned nitride layer and pad oxide layer as hard mask. The method forms a first thickness of liner oxide within the trench structure using at least thermal oxidation of an exposed region of the trench structure to cover the trench structure. Such thermal oxidation causes a rounding region near corners of the trench structure. The method selectively removes the thickness of liner oxide within the trench structure. The method forms a second thickness of liner oxide within the trench structure using at least thermal oxidation to cover the trench structure. The thermal oxidation causes a further rounding of the rounded region near corners of the trench structure. The method also selectively removes the patterned nitride layer while the second thickness of liner oxide protects the substrate in the trench region.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system (20) allows communications between a mobile station (22) and a wireless network (24) over combined physical traffic channels (44, 46). In a disclosed example, a mobile station (22) has multiple wireless access terminals (40, 42) for transmitting different portions of a communication over multiple physical traffic channels (44, 46). In a disclosed example, each wireless access terminal (40, 42) utilizes one of the channels (44, 46). A known multilink PPP protocol facilitates splitting a communication into portions to be communicated over the combined physical traffic channels (44, 46) and then recombined at the mobile station (22) or an appropriate portion of the network (24). With a disclosed example, the achievable throughput using combined physical traffic channels (44, 46) approaches the aggregate or sum of the individual channel throughput capacities.
Abstract:
A method, system, and device for handling creation of derivative works and for assigning usage rights to the derivative works for enforcing usage rights associated with digital works, including detecting computer-related events that are indicative of manipulations of an original work for creating a derivative work; and maintaining a history of information, including at least one of rights associated with electronic content related to each of the events, origin of electronic content related to each of the events, and event related information that can be used to determine the origin of and rights associated with electronic content.
Abstract:
Methanol-tolerant cathodic catalysts were prepared by depositing platinum nanoparticles and iron macrocycles on a carbon substrate. The order of depositing the iron and platinum on the carbon substrate were varied to form a (Fe—Pt)/C catalyst and a (Pt—Fe)/C catalyst. Different sintering temperatures were investigated to determine the heating effect on methanol tolerance. Oxygen reduction with and without the presence of methanol on these new catalysts was evaluated by using a rotating disk electrode system.
Abstract:
A method and system for integrity certification and verification in a computer environment based on characteristics and behaviors of one or more applications, systems or system components as compared with a profile of characteristics and behaviors, including determining a behavior integrity profile (BIP) specifying characteristics and behaviors of one or more applications, systems or system components; determining based on the BIP whether or not characteristics and behaviors of one or more applications, systems or system components are compliant with characteristics and behaviors defined in a behavior integrity profile specification; and determining access rights to the one or more applications, systems or system components based on the step of determining the compliance.
