摘要: A method for chemically reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) with a red mud catalyst composition is provided includes introducing a gaseous mixture of CO2 and H2 into a reactor containing particles of the red mud catalyst composition. The method further includes reacting at least a portion of the CO2 and H2 in the gaseous mixture in the presence of the red mud catalyst composition at a temperature of 200 to 800° C., and under a pressure ranging from 5 to 100 bar to form a gaseous product including a chemical reduction product of the CO2. A volume ratio of the CO2 to the H2 in the gaseous mixture is in a range of 1:10 to 10:1.

摘要: The present invention relates to a process for conveniently preparing a supported cobalt-containing Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst having improved activity and selectivity for C5+ hydrocarbons. In one aspect, the present invention provides a process for preparing a supported cobalt-containing Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst, said process comprising the steps of: (a) impregnating a support material with: i) a cobalt-containing compound and ii) acetic acid, or a manganese salt of acetic acid, in a single impregnation step to form an impregnated support material; and (b) drying and calcining the impregnated support material; wherein the support material impregnated in step (a) has not previously been modified with a source of metal other than cobalt; and wherein when the cobalt-containing compound is cobalt hydroxide, a manganese salt of acetic acid is not used in step (a) of the process.

摘要: An isomerization catalyst is provided, along with corresponding systems and methods, which provides improved isomerization for bio-derived feeds in reaction environments where by-products from deoxygenation are present. The catalyst provides unexpectedly increased activity and/or selectivity in situations where, for example, a deoxygenation effluent is cascaded to the isomerization catalyst. Additionally, the isomerization catalyst can assist with reducing or minimizing hydrogen consumption during isomerization. The increased activity, stability, and/or reduced hydrogen consumption is achieved in part based on using a dispersion agent when adding base metals to the catalyst. In addition to the base metals, the catalyst includes a zeolitic framework structure suitable for isomerization.

摘要: Supported catalysts contain a transition metal compound impregnated on or bound to a solid support, and the transition metal is iron, cobalt, or manganese. The solid support is an inorganic solid oxide or a chemically-treated solid oxide. The transition metal compound is prepared by reacting a transition metal halide containing a ligand with an alkylating agent in a suitable reaction medium at a temperature of −70 to 15° C., prior to impregnating onto the solid support.

摘要: Methods for synthesizing a water-soluble titanium-silicon complex are disclosed herein. The titanium-silicon complex can be utilized to produce titanated solid oxide supports and titanated chromium supported catalysts. The titanated chromium supported catalysts subsequently can be used to polymerize olefins to produce, for example, ethylene based homopolymer and copolymers.
