Therefore, the size of a liquid crystal display device in a widthwise direction thereof can be reduced. Also, since crossing points of the leading lines connected to the scanning signal lines are arranged outside the right side edge portion and a left side edge portion of a light shielding film, such a drawback can be prevented from occurring that ionic impurities eluted from the sealing member due a potential difference between the leading lines and the light shielding film corrode the leading lines.

An omnidirectional camera device is able to restrict a range in which images of objects are picked up. This omnidirectional camera device comprises a rotationally-symmetric convex mirror (24) fixedly attached to one end of a transparent tube assembly (20), an image pickup means (32) disposed on the other end of the tube assembly in an opposing relation to this convex mirror and a cover assembly (60) disposed on the tube assembly for restricting the range in which light becomes incident on the convex mirror. The cover assembly is mounted on one end side of the tube assembly. The cover assembly is a shielding cover assembly and includes a cover member (60B). The cover assembly is attached to the tube assembly so as to become freely rotatable. The direction and the range in which images of objects should be picked up may be adjusted by the attachment position of the cover assembly and a shielding angle &agr; of the cover assembly. Thus, since undesired video information may be eliminated, only pictures of objects in the desired ranges may be picked up, which becomes effective in analyzing information.

A glass powder for dental glass ionomer cement is disclosed, comprising a fluoroaluminosilicate glass powder for dental glass ionomer cement having a specific gravity of 2.4.about.4.0, a mean particle size of 0.02.about.4 .mu.m, and a BET specific surface area of 2.5.about.6.0 m.sup.2 /g. Further, it preferably has a maximum particle size of less than 4 .mu.m and contains 10.about.21% by weight of Al.sup.3+, 9.about.21% by weight of Si.sup.4+, 1.about.20% by weight of F.sup.-, and 10.about.34% by weight in total of Sr.sup.2+ and/or Ca.sup.2+ in its components. The glass powder for dental glass ionomer cement of the invention can impart superior surface smoothness and film thickness, while utilizing superior characteristics inherent to the conventional dental glass ionomer cement, such as superior biocompatibility and adhesive strength.
