Abstract: Systems and methods monitor loading of cargo onto a transport vehicle to avoid incorrect cargo loading incidents. A wireless monitoring device positioned near an access port of a cargo hold of the transport vehicle receives a tracking identifier of a wireless tracking tag attached to a logistic container containing the cargo as the logistic container is conveyed into the cargo hold. An alert is generated by the wireless monitoring device when the tracking identifier is not listed in a manifest listing identifiers of wireless tracking tags attached to logistic containers expected to be loaded into the cargo hold. Within the cargo hold, the wireless tracking tags may also exchange their tracking identifiers such that any one of the wireless tracking tags may determine, by counting, when less than a target threshold number of wireless tracking tags are present.

Abstract: A tape node and associated methods update an integrated smart label display to redirect delivery of an associated asset. Information of the associated asset is displayed on the integrated smart label display and includes an original destination address and a barcode. When the tape node determines that the associated asset is to be redirected to an alternative destination, based on received instructions and/or at least one rule defining conditions for the associated asset, the tape node updates the displayed information to include an address of the alternative destination and updates the barcode of the associated asset on the integrated smart label display. The tape node may provide instructions for receiving a reward for recycling the tape node.

Abstract: A method for detecting the usage of assets includes attaching a tracking device to each asset of a plurality of assets. An identifier associated with the asset is stored on a memory of the tracking device. After an asset has been used or is empty, the asset is physically grouped with other used or empty assets. Using the tracking devices, it is detected that an asset that the tracking device is attached to has been grouped with other assets. The tracking devices associated with the group of assets determine a manifest of asset identifiers for each asset in the group of used or empty assets. An asset tracking system determines that each asset corresponding to the identifiers in the manifest is used or empty.

Abstract: A wireless tracking device may receive, from a server of a wireless tracking system, a cell tower data set having an entry with a cell tower identifier and cell tower location coordinates for each of at least one cell tower located along at least part of an expected route of an asset associated with the wireless tracking device. At intervals, the wireless tracking device activates a cellular communication circuit to receive at least one wireless signal including a broadcast cell tower identifier. The wireless tracking device retrieves cell tower location coordinates from an entry of the cell tower data set where the cell tower identifier matches the broadcast cell tower identifier. The wireless tracking device determines a location estimate of the wireless tracking device based on the retrieved cell tower coordinates.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a flexible laminate electronic device and the flexible laminate electronic device itself is disclosed. The method includes placing electronic components over a flexible substrate layer that includes electrical connections between ones of the electronic components. A first flexible additive layer that includes apertures is positioned to align ones of the electronic components in respective ones of the apertures. A subsequent flexible additive layer is arranged over the first flexible additive layer and the apertures are aligned around respective portions of ones of the electronic components protruding above the first flexible additive layer. A flexible cover layer is emplaced over the subsequent flexible additive layer.
