Abstract: A barrier panel is coupled between a jacket and a pair of trousers which provides a moisture resistant barrier therebetween about a full circumference of the torso of the user. The barrier panel cam be joined to both the jacket and trousers by zippers extending about a full circumference thereof, together with an end zipper joining the ends of the panel along the full width thereof to provide a complete barrier between the trousers and jacket. Alternatively, the barrier panel can be stitched to the trousers and received within a pocket formed by a cover panel on the trousers when not in use. The barrier panel has an elastic member spanning the full width and height of the panel and a moisture resistant membrane fully spanning one side of the elastic member.

Abstract: A lawn mower has an electrical port that receives current from an alternator powered by the lawn mower engine. The current and voltage sent the electrical port depend on a flywheel and stator arrangement operatively connected to the alternator. The stator may be replaceable or interchangeable to selectively determine the alternator current and voltage output. The port receives a plug from a garment worn by the lawn mower operator. The garment includes one or more thermo-electric elements that are powered from current extending through the port. The thermo-electric elements may be resistive heaters to warm the operator or TEC coolers to cool the operator. Furthermore, the garment may include a rechargeable battery that powers the thermo-electric elements when the plug is disconnected from the port.

Abstract: An article of clothing includes a torso portion, a first sleeve, and a second sleeve. The first sleeve is coupled to the first side of the torso portion. The second sleeve is coupled to the second side of the torso portion. The torso portion includes a plurality of resilient bands, one disposed diagonally on the front of the torso portion, and two diagonally disposed on the rear of the torso portion such that the two bands intersect one another. The first sleeve and the second sleeve each also include a resilient band. The front band of the torso and one of the rear bands of the torso may have a first modulus of elasticity. The second rear band of the torso and the band of the first sleeve may have a second modulus of elasticity. The band of the second sleeve may have a third modulus of elasticity.

Abstract: A laser-treated fabric including a body side and a face side has a plurality of pores located on at least some fibers on at least the body side of the fabric and at least one chemical additive embedded within or anchored to the plurality of pores. The fabric in the garment may be laser-treated such that the plurality of pores are located in discrete regions of the fabric. Methods for treating a fabric are also described. The chemical additive in the laser-treated fabrics is more durable than in non-laser-treated fabrics have a chemical additive applied on only the surface of the fabric.

Abstract: Described is a wearable garment that converts into a sleeping bag for insulating a user from environmental elements. The garment includes a hooded jacket having two side portions covering a user's chest, a rear portion covering a user's back, two arm portions and a jacket hood. A lower pouch is removably secured at the bottom of the jacket and folds up to lie flat against the interior of the rear portion and jacket hood. This lower pouch is a recess contoured to fit the shape of a human lower body and having two feet shaped recesses at the bottom. By contouring the lower body enclosure to fit the shape of the legs and feet, excess air space is eliminated and overall insulation is improved. In this way the device provides a user with an easy to carry, non-cumbersome sleeping bag that protects the user from the outdoors and cold environments.

Abstract: A suit jacket comprising a holster paddle which contains a concealed weapon. Additionally, the holster paddle can be curved to the wearer's abdomen so that concealment of the weapon is greatly improved.
