摘要: A footwear having a housing seat for a foot and an active control system for actively controlling temperature and humidity inside the housing seat is provided. The active control system has an electronic control unit, a temperature sensor and a humidity sensor operatively connected to the electronic control unit for supplying the electronic control unit with a first electrical signal bearing information correlated to the temperature inside the housing seat and a second electrical signal bearing information correlated to the humidity inside the housing seat, respectively. The active control system has at least one temperature control element operatively connected to the electronic control unit and controllable for varying the temperature inside the housing seat, and at least one humidity control element that is operatively connected to the electronic control unit, controllable for varying the humidity inside the housing seat, and configured to vary the humidity by electrolysis.

摘要: An insole and/or outsole for a shoe such as an athletic shoe or cleat that includes a multilayer channeled assembly designed at preventing the transfer of heat from extremely hot ground surfaces, most notably synthetic turf, to the foot. In one embodiment, the insole includes a channeled layer of solid material with a very low thermal conductivity, preferably silicon or cork, as the base material beneath a layer of heat resistant felt preferably made of oxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers. The channeling in the base layer allows for air pockets to be created within the insole itself that makes the heat resistant felt more resistant to (i.e., more efficient at preventing) the transfer of heat. In another embodiment, the outsole for a shoe such as an athletic shoe or cleat includes a base layer of channeled solid material with low thermal conductivity, preferably silicon, cork, or polystyrene, below a layer of heat resistant felt preferably made of oxidized polyacrylonitrile fibers. This assembly is encased within a solid plastic mold that extends up to the base of the upper of the shoe or cleat and allows for little or no pressure to be put on the assembly itself. The studs for the cleats are preferably molded out of the plastic encasing itself.

摘要: A ventilation apparatus including a pump, a switching unit, and a fluid diffuser is provided. The pump attached to the footwear pumps fluid into and exhausts fluid from a cavity of the footwear. The switching unit in communication with the pump selectively changes modes of operation of the pump. The fluid diffuser connected to the pump within the cavity of the footwear includes a feed pipe for transferring the fluid pumped from the pump to the cavity of the footwear during a pump mode of operation and to transfer the fluid in the cavity of the footwear to an ambient environment external to the footwear during an exhaust mode of operation, for ventilating the footwear. In one or more embodiments, the fluid diffuser includes a diffusing member with one or more openings and/or a fluid distribution channel member for transferring the fluid to and from the cavity of the footwear.

摘要: A temperature adjustable shoe for use in changing a temperature of a user's foot includes a shoe body member having a bottom portion, a front portion extending upwardly from the bottom portion, and a rear portion extending upwardly from the bottom portion, the bottom front, and rear portions having a unitary construction that defines an interior area. The front and the rear portions of the shoe body define an opening through which a user's foot is selectively inserted or removed from the interior area. A lower temperature sensitive member is positioned in the interior area and fixedly attached to an upper surface of the body portion. An upper temperature sensitive member is positioned in the interior area and fixedly attached to a lower surface of the front portion.

摘要: Disclosed herein are temperature control elements for controllably regulating and/or altering the temperature of the footwear and thus the wearer's foot. In various embodiments, a temperature control element (TCE) may be housed in the vamp liner of the footwear, and a control unit may be housed in the footwear tongue. In some embodiments, the control unit may include or be coupled to a user interface, which also may be housed in the footwear tongue. In some embodiments, a pocket may be provided in the footwear tongue for receiving a power source configured to power the system, and in various embodiments the pocket also may be used for routing electrical conduits between the various components.
