摘要： There is provided a slide fastener comprising a pair of opposed carrier tapes and rows of interlocking fastener elements mounted thereon. Each tape consists of a warp-knitted structure having wales of warp stitches connected coursewise by laid-in weft threads and alternated with grooves wider than said wales. These grooves are substantially filled with reinforcing warp threads to attain dimensional stability of the tape particularly at the longitudinal edge thereof along which the fastener elements are secured.

摘要： The carrier tape in an otherwise conventional slide fastener stringer having coupling elements formed from a continuous length of a plastic filament is replaced by another length of plastic filament bent into repeating units having each the shape of a meander, a figure-eight, and the like. Each unit has two bend portions and two connecting portions of which one connects the bend portions, and the other one connects the unit to an adjacent unit. The bend portions are arranged in two rows parallel to the row of coupling elements, one or two coupling elements being fastened to an adjacent bend portion by sewing stitches, by adhesive, or by welding. The carrier of plastic filament is more durable than any tape and is readily shaped to hold the coupling elements in an arcuate row of small radius of curvature.

摘要： A slide-fastener stringer having a pair of coupling elements mounted, for intermeshing upon movement of a slider therealong, upon juxtaposed edges of respective support tapes. The support tapes are each provided with a longitudinal row of openings for cooperation with the needle mechanism of an apparatus designed to attach the stringer to a garment or other fabric. The openings are formed by pushing back at least one warp thread extending parallel to the coupling element by thrusting a wedge-shaped needle or lance into the weave. A plurality of such lances may be provided in transversely staggered longitudinally spaced relation to force back the warp thread in successive stages.
