Abstract:
A removable applicator nozzle for use in treating a wound is provided. The removable applicator nozzle includes a nozzle, a valve and a cup. The nozzle includes a proximal portion, a distal opening and a valve interface. The proximal portion of the nozzle is engagable with a portion of a transducer of an ultrasound wound therapy device. The distal opening of the nozzle allows at least a portion of a tip of the transducer to pass therethrough. The valve is engagable with the valve interface of the nozzle and the valve selectively allows fluid to flow therethrough. The cup includes an aperture and a puncturing device. The aperture is engagable with the valve and the puncturing device is able to puncture a bottle that is inserted on the cup. Fluid flows from the bottle, through the aperture and the valve and onto a tip of the transducer. The fluid is then moved to the distal opening of the nozzle by a vacuum effect.
Abstract:
A device for dispensing and applying a fluid contained in a reservoir may include an applicator member with an outer wall that is configured to be charged with fluid contained in the reservoir and to dispense such fluid. The wall may be turnable about a single axis of rotation. The device may further include a motor arranged to drive the applicator member in rotation around the single axis of rotation.
Abstract:
An oral hygiene device having one or more toothbrushes connected or connectible to the end of a handle, the one or more toothbrushes providing a desirable fit about the teeth and/or gums and/or providing a desirable brushing action. An oral hygiene device hereof may provide for mechanically providing the brushing movements of the professionally recommended manual tooth-brushing method known as the “Bass” or “Modified Bass” technique to thus reduce or eliminate the element of human error associated with the brushing of a user's teeth and gums.
Abstract:
A method for treating the skin involves a first stage of softening the skin by projecting steam including treatment material on to it, causing the pores to open and the material to penetrate the outer skin surface. Thereafter the pores are caused to close e.g. by projecting an astringent composition on to the skin. Apparatus to effect this is described. One form includes a sealable chamber into which a quantity of liquid treatment preparation may be placed and heated to vaporise it and project the vapour via a nozzle (10) on to the skin surface, at a distance suitable for the treatment and established by a spacer (17) projecting from the side of a housing (1) containing the chamber and nozzle (10), and means (11) to trigger dispensing of the vapour when actuated.
Abstract:
An apparatus for applying a cosmetic, such as mascara to eyelashes, comprises a handle, a stem defining a longitudinal stem axis and having a first end coupled to the handle and a second end, an applicator head coupled to the stem second end and supported for movement relative to the handle, an actuator operatively coupled to the applicator head for moving the applicator head, and a container comprising a cosmetic composition. The container may be keyed to the applicator such that the actuator powers the applicator only when that particular container is used. The applicator head and/or stem may be removable from the handle and wherein at least one of the applicator head, stem, and handle may comprise a locking mechanism. The applicator may comprise a rigid sleeve extending around at least a portion of the stem.
Abstract:
The invention teaches a device for deep skin cleansing. The device includes a dispenser, with one or more outlets, for dispensing a beam or beams of high-pressured water, a switch or button for controlling release of the high-pressured water beam, and a source for providing high-pressured water such as a pre-filled canister or a powered pump.
Abstract:
The invention pertains to a versatile back treatment implement system that consists of different implements that can be interchangeably used. Any one of the implements can be a lotion applying implement, a brush implement or a massaging implement. A handle has at one end thereof of friction grip handle and at another end an attaching system that can interchangeably attach any one of the various implements. The interchangeability also includes various elements that allow any one of the implements to be used in a rigid manner on the back of a person in a pivotal manner or in a manner where any one of the implements can change to different directions of movements simply by tuning the friction grip handle. The handle can also be adjusted to different lengths.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for electrostatically coating a body surface with a coating composition. An apparatus of the present invention includes an enclosure, a mount positioned on the enclosure, and an electrostatic nozzle connected to the mount, the electrostatic nozzle adapted for passing the coating composition for deposition on the body surface. The apparatus further includes a floor surface within the enclosure, the floor surface having a resistive electrical connection.
Abstract:
A massaging device enabling hair wash and massage of a scalp to be readily performed effectively and reliably. The massaging device 1 includes a massaging device main body 2 acting as a drive section and a treating section 3. The treating section 3 includes a base portion 4 made of a flexible material and a plurality of first protrusions 5 protruding in a downward direction that is the direction of intersecting with a surface of the base portion 4. The massaging device main body 2 includes a reciprocating drive means 12. A reciprocating drive means 12 is provided to allow the base portion 4 to defect in an up-and-down direction that intersects with a surface of the base portion 4. Each of the first protrusions 5 includes a communicating slit 25 which allows an interior and an exterior to communicate with each other. A container 26 for a shampoo L is provided inside the base portion 4. The container 26 communicates with the communicating slit 25, and moves in response to the deflection of the base portion 4. As a result, the shampoo L infiltrated into the container 26 is foamed in response to the deflection of the base portion 4 to permit hair washing and massaging to be performed with said shampoo L being supplied from the communicating slit 25.
Abstract:
Some embodiments of the present invention provide a vibrator device comprising a body, at least one accessory imbedded in said body, at least one accessory pump, and at least one tube located within the body and operatively connecting the at least one accessory to the at least one pump, wherein activation of at least one pump alters at least one aspect of at least one accessory. According to an alternative embodiment, said device may offer the same features in a sheath that fits over a conventional vibrator or a male phallus.
