摘要: A noise reducer for a valve having a quick release function is disclosed. The noise reducer is preferably an open-celled structure that is impervious to dirt, moisture, alcohol, and oil, and acts as both a dampener and a biasing spring to reduce the oscillations of an exhaust diaphragm in an ABS modulator and urge the diaphragm toward a closed position. The open-celled foam is preferably an annular configuration so that it does not interfere with the amplitude of displacement of the diaphragm.

摘要: A testing system and method are provided for an electronically controlled braking system to determine whether the solenoids of each of the modulators are properly wired. According to the test, each modulator is tested in sequence. The exhaust solenoid of a modulator is actuated multiple times and the hold solenoid of a modulator is actuated once. Discrete signals will evidence whether the modulator solenoids have been properly wired.

摘要: A brake pressure control device is provided that includes a brake valve, an air master cylinder, and an air control valve. The air control valve is provided between the brake valve and the air master cylinder for selectively controlling the air pressure supplied from the brake valve to the air master cylinder. The air control valve includes an input port coupled to the brake valve for receiving air pressure provided from the brake valve; an exhaust port coupled to open air and to a back pressure chamber of the air master cylinder; an output port coupled to the air master cylinder; a pipe passageway coupled between the input port, the exhaust port, and the output port; at least one diaphragm provided within the pipe passageway; and a release valve connected between the exhaust port and the output port for releasing air pressure from the output port to the exhaust port during a brake releasing operation.

摘要: A control valve device is provided for a pneumatically-operated vehicle brake system equipped with an antilocking device. The control valve has a controlled inlet valve and a controlled outlet valve. A pressure medium outlet chamber may be connected to a pressure medium inlet chamber by the inlet valve and to atmosphere by the outlet valve. The pressure medium inlet chamber is divided into a first sectional chamber connected to the inlet valve and a second sectional chamber connected to the pressure medium inlet. The first sectional chamber and the second sectional chamber can be connected through an additional valve device acting as a check valve which can be moved into an open position in a direction of the first sectional chamber. In this manner, it becomes possible to achieve a pressure reduction by not directing the reflux of the pressure medium from the pressure medium outlet chamber through the pressure medium inlet chamber, but instead through the outlet valve directly to atmosphere. This leads to an accelerated pressure reduction in the pressure medium outlet chamber and thus in the consumer.

摘要: There is provided a wheel lock-up prevention device for compressed air operated brakes of a motor vehicle which includes a common control of the pressure in the brakecylinders of a given wheel axle. The control is accomplished by means of multi-position main valves which include magnetic pre-control valves with identical control magnets and with armatures having integral closure bodies. Furthermore, the valve bodies of the multi-position valves are substantially identical at least on their pressure side. The use of such simple and identical valves provides a modular-like construction making possible a selective 2-point or 3-point operation as well as a single-duct or a multi-duct embodiment of the wheel lock-up prevention device. Thus, during a functional test at the beginning of a trip, a dangerous and hence undesired release of the brakes when parked on an incline is prevented by means of the actuation of all of the magnets.

摘要: A valve unit for controlling air flow and braking pressure in the brake cylinder of a pneumatic braking system. The valve unit has an inlet and an outlet valve assembly each of which are controlled by a solenoid valve, which is in turn controlled by an electronic braking control system. In the inlet valve assembly there is a valve diaphragm which on one side is biased by one pressure to close the valve unit, and which on the opposite side is biased by two pressures to open the valve unit. The ratio between the areas affected by the respective pressures is selected in such a way that the brake cylinder pressure is raised in essentially constant steps.

摘要: In an anti-skid air braking system an air-operated diaphragm valve is arranged to close a connection between the chambers of an air actuator and supply air to the high pressure chamber when the brakes are applied. A flow restrictor delays the release of air from the low pressure chamber when the brakes are released, and the back pressure in the actuator is arranged to act on the diaphragm of the valve to oppose reconnection of the actuator to the supply.

摘要: Adaptive control for a fluid pressure braking system of the type which when a wheel decelerates to an impending skid opens an exhaust valve to reduce pressure in the actuator and after the wheel has accelerated in response thereto closes the exhaust valve and restores pressure in the actuator, the invention including apparatus responsive to the fluid pressure in the actuator at the time the exhaust valve is opened for controlling the rate of fluid flow from the actuator through the exhaust port, the rate of fluid flow being preferably controlled by apparatus for varying the effective exhaust area in the path of fluid flow from the actuator in response to pressure in the actuator whereby for high actuator pressure a small exhaust area is provided and for a low actuator pressure a large exhaust area is provided.
