摘要: Systems and methods for a vent interlock system to ensure vent cover closure prior to operation of a transportation vehicle. An embodiment of a system may include an interlock bar. The interlock bar may, in a lowered position, prevent a hydraulic valve handle of a hydraulic pump assembly from moving from an open position to a closed position, the hydraulic valve handle in the closed position to allow a vent cover of the trailer to be opened. The system may include a plunger valve connected to brakes of the transportation vehicle to lock the brakes of the transportation vehicle to prevent operation of the transportation vehicle when the interlock bar is raised. The system may include a spring operated latch attached to the transportation vehicle to hold the interlock bar in the lowered position via a notch or aperture in the interlock bar.

摘要: An improved air compressor is provided. The air compressor includes a cylinder block having a head deck that defines a piston bore for reciprocal movement of a piston therein. The head deck further includes first and second ramped surfaces that slope downward toward the peripheral edge of the piston bore. A valve plate is in direct contact with the upper surface of the head deck, the valve plate having a leaf valve. During an intake stroke of the piston, the leaf valve deflects downward into direct engagement with the first and second ramped surfaces. Because the air compressor lacks a lower gasket between the valve plate and the head deck, the cost and assembly time associated with the lower gasket are eliminated.

摘要: One or more techniques and systems are described herein for synchronized air delivery method between a vehicle's central tire inflation system (CTIS) and an air trailer brake (ATB) system. A synchronized air delivery system can utilize a shared air source as a common shared input to drive two different systems, including the ATB system and CTIS. Based on ATB and CTIS air need feedback, an air compressor clutch can automatically control ON and OFF modes for air inputs using a control algorithm. Air can be provided to the ATB system, to provide air to brakes on a coupled trailer, over the tire inflation operation, such as during a braking event.

摘要: A system for use in connection with a wheel torque generating component in a heavy-duty vehicle. The system comprises a fluid conduit, a compressor configured to provide a pressurized air flow through the fluid conduit, a mass flow adding arrangement configured to add a fluid to the pressurized air flow in the fluid conduit, thereby increasing the mass flow of the pressurized air flow, and a flow directing device arranged downstream of the mass flow adding arrangement and configured to direct the pressurized air flow, including the added fluid, from the fluid conduit to the wheel torque generating component so as to control the temperature of the wheel torque generating component. The invention also relates to a method for use in connection with a wheel torque generating component in a heavy-duty vehicle.
