    摘要: An image forming apparatus includes: a photosensitive drum; a charging unit which is brought into contact with the drum and charges it; a developing unit for obtaining a visible image from an electrostatic latent image formed on the drum; a charge high voltage generation circuit for supplying an output which is obtained by multiplexing a high AC voltage with a high DC voltage with the charging unit; a development high voltage generation circuit for supplying an output which is obtained by multiplexing a high AC voltage with a high DC voltage to the developing unit; and a sync circuit for synchronizing a high voltage alternating current of the charge high voltage generation circuit and a high voltage alternating current of the development high voltage generation circuit. A ratio of the frequencies of the high voltage alternating currents of the development high voltage generation circuit and the charge high voltage generation circuit is set to an integer. The high AC voltages are derived from the signals having an integer frequency dividing ratio which are obtained by frequency dividing the same clock signal.

    摘要: A corona discharging device for an electrophotographic copier, laser printer or similar image forming equipment of the type using an electrophotographic procedure. The device has a corona wire, a rear electrode, and a dielectric plate intervening between the corona wire and the rear electrode. A pulse voltage is applied across the corona wire and rear electrode, while a DC bias voltage is applied across the corona wire and a photoconductive element which is located in close proximity to the corona discharging device. A current for charging the photoconductive element is controlled to a predetermined constant value. When the charging current is lowered below a predetermined value or when the DC bias voltage is increased above a predetermined value or decreased below a predetermined value, a high-tension power supply stops feeding a high voltage by deciding that an output is open or short-circuited.

    摘要: An electrophotographic apparatus employs an alternating current corona discharge apparatus for the purpose of forming an electrostatic image on a photosensitive member. The alternating current corona discharge apparatus has a transformer for transforming or stepping up the alternating current source voltage, the secondary winding of which is connected to the ground at one end. The secondary winding is shunted by a series connection of a first plurality of varistors. A smaller second plurality of series connected varistors selected from the first plurality of series connected varistors are shunted by a first diode-resistor series connection of a diode with the cathode on the ground side and a variable resistor and a smaller and third plurality of different series connected varistors selected from the first plurality of series connected varistors are shunted by a second diode-resistor series connection of a diode with the anode on the ground side and a variable resistor. The non-grounded end of the secondary winding is connected to a wire electrode of the corona discharge apparatus and the grounded end of the secondary winding is connected to a shield plate enclosing the wire electrode.

    摘要: A high voltage power supply is regulated using a light dependent resistor. A feedback circuit from the load controls the input to a light emitting diode which is optically coupled to a light dependent resistor connected in series with the load. Increases in the load current tend to reduce illumination on the light dependent resistor, thereby increasing the resistance of that circuit element which reduces the load current. The converse is also true. Regulation may be applied to a D.C. power source or to an A.C. power source by developing a signal indicative of average current level and applying it to the light emitting diode to control the light dependent resistor. The high voltage power control of the invention is particularly useful in regulating corotron voltage levels in a xerographic reproduction device.
