    摘要: A system for testing the electrical integrity of an illuminated exit sign alternately powered by a battery, rechargeable from a source of alternating current power. The system includes an alarm for indicating an electrical failure, precluding the illumination of the exit sign. A circuit tests the presence of battery electrical power for illuminating the exit sign. In addition, the circuitry periodically tests for the provision of adequate battery power to achieve the same function. Moreover, the system periodically tests and retests for adequate recharging of the battery during a preselected period of time and includes an alarm for indicating failure of the recharging system.

    摘要: An emergency lighting system includes a lighting unit having a battery which is kept in a charged condition in the presence of voltage on a power line to which the unit in connected. Upon loss of voltage, the battery is caused to discharge into a pair of flood lamps to provide emergency illumination to an area surrounding the unit. To provide for periodic testing of the unit without requiring the user to actuate a switch on the unit the system includes a radio frequency receiver in the unit which responds to signals generated by a hand-held radio frequency transmitter actuated by the user. A two stage battery charging circuit and a low voltage lamp cut-off circuit are included in the lighting unit for improved battery life.

    摘要: An emergency exit sign auxiliary lamp flashing system operates from self-contained rechargeable batteries upon failure of the electrical power from the AC power mains supplying power to the exit sign, including a charging circuit for recharging the batteries, with provisions for preventing overcharging and for disconnecting the load from the batteries before the battery voltage drops to a level which would impair its service life. Included is a solid state circuit which provides for automatically exercising and self-testing the proper functioning of the system to ensure its being serviceable when called upon to function during a power failure by periodically simulating the effect of a failure of AC power and verifying that the battery, lamp and flashing circuit operate normally or signalling a visual and/or audible alarm if they fail to operate properly.

    摘要: An intrusion alarm system is described which includes multiple-input intruder sensing circuits, the outputs of which are fed via separate logic NAND circuits, to bistable latch circuits which then supply signals to an alarm latch circuit. One of the bistable latch circuits is coupled to the alarm latch via an entry delay timer, and all latches incorporate noise suppression circuitry. The intrusion system has a remote arming and resetting circuit which provides automatic testing of on-board status monitor lamps. This intrusion system is interconnected to an adjust fire/emergency sensing and control unit.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for verifying voice messages generated by notification devices in an emergency address system includes one or more verification devices and a validation module, which can be part of a control panel or a connected services system. The verification devices can be mobile computing devices or permanently installed devices associated with each notification device in the emergency address system. The verification devices include microphones, network interfaces, and controllers executing speech to text conversion processes. During testing, the notification devices play voice messages and the verification devices detect the messages, convert the messages to text and send the text-converted messages to the validation module, which validates the text-converted messages against the intended messages for each notification device and confirms that the messages were played in the correct locations.
