    摘要: A body 52 of a chuck 30 has an axial opening 34 and is formed with three spaced radial slots 58 which receive three respective locking fingers 68 extending radially inward from a circular band 66. The band 66 is located outside of, and rotatable relative to, the body 52. The band 66 and the locking fingers 68 form a latching unit 64 which is confined to a transaxial plane 61. A spring 70 is attached the latching unit 64 and to the body 52 and normally urges each of the locking fingers 68 against one end of the respective slots 58. A plurality of spaced ribs 54 extend radially inward from an inner wall of the opening 34. A bit 36 is formed with a shank 38 having a plurality of axial grooves 42 which extend through a free end of the shank. A wall of each groove 42 is formed with a transaxial groove 50 at a prescribed distance from the free end of the shank 38. Slanted surfaces 44 on the free end of the shank 38, being inserted into the opening 34, engage and cam the respective locking fingers 68 into alignment with the axial grooves 42, which allows the shank to inserted further. The locking fingers 68 are prevented from returning to their original position until the fingers are aligned with, and biased into, the transaxial grooves 50 to lock the shank with the chuck 30.

    摘要: A tool bit chuck for drilling and chiseling bits has an axially extending receiving sleeve (1) with an opening (3) therethrough in which latching elements (9) are radially displaceably supported. The latching elements (9) are radially displaceable by a spring loaded axially displaceable actuating element (10). An actuating sleeve (12) laterally encloses and is axially displaceable relative to the receiving sleeve (1). Connecting members fix (6, 13) the actuating sleeve to the receiving sleeve.     摘要: An adjustable limb support system is provided for an operating room table to adjustably orient and position a stirrup or boot. The support system provides an adjustable support in combination with a vertically adjustable support. The vertically adjustable support includes a support arm, a ratchet wheel, a lock pin, and a ratchet release. The support arm is connected to a housing which both rotate about the ratchet wheel in a rotational plane extending upwardly and outwardly from the operating room table for automatic abduction. The lock pin engages the ratchet wheel and allows the support arm to be rotated upwardly but not downwardly. The ratchet release disengages the lock pin and allows the support to be rotated downwardly. The support arm can thus ratchet upwardly to fixed vertical positions and be lowered only by disengaging the lock pin. The adjustable support includes a retaining block, a compression block, and a compression head. The retaining block defines a passage for receiving a connecting rod secured to the stirrup or boot. The compression block defines a passage for receiving the support arm of the vertical adjustable support. The compression head when tightened prevents translation and rotation of the compression block on the support arm, and rotation of the compression block and the retaining block relative to each other. When the compression head is untightened the compression block can be translated or rotated on the support arm, and the blocks can be rotated relative to each other, in order to orient and position the stirrup or boot. The stirrup or boot freely rotates or swings about the axis of the connecting rod at all times.
