摘要: The invention relates to an apparatus for the control of a pasteurizing process, designed to be applied to the middle area of a pasteurizer, located downstream of a heating area from which bottles (1) of product carried by a conveyor (2) come, and upstream of a bottle cooling area. In said middle area of the pasteurizer, provision is made for four tanks (7, 8, 9, 10) containing water at differentiated temperatures which feed an equal number of sprayers (3, 4, 5, 6) located above the bottles (1) in movement. The two middle tanks (8, 9) are each divided into two chambers (12, 13; 24, 25) separated by an upright partition (11; 23). In the event that the conveyor (2) should undergo an emergency stop, the bottles (1) that at the moment are in the area having the highest temperature are automatically sprayed with water at a lower temperature coming from the corresponding tanks whereas the high temperature is maintained in the tanks having the highest temperature until the emergency state is over. For the purpose pipelines (15, 21, 27, 33) are provided which suitably connect the various tanks (7, 8, 9, 10) to one another and to the sprayers (3, 4, 5, 6) located above the bottles (1).

摘要: In order to stabilize pre-packaged food products and simultanously sanitize the packages, the packages are treated with microwaves in a first processing zone in an atmosphere where hot air is maintained at a superatmospheric pressure. The hot hair is thermostat-regulated at a temperature slightly above that which has been set for stabilizing the food products. The packages are then transferred to a second processing zone maintained at the temperature and pressure of the first zone but free of microwaves. The packages are then transferred to a cooling zone for cooling at a predetermined cooling temperature at superatmospheric pressure. The hot and cold air in the heating and cooling zones are kept in constant motion.

摘要: A container holder capable of holding various containers, such as bottles and cans, comprises a deformable container-holding member made from a plastic material, a holding frame, and an adapter plate. The central portion of the holding member is divided into several tongues, and a central hole surrouded by these tongues is formed. The holding member is sandwiched between the adapter plate and the holding frame. Depending on the kind of the container held by this holder, the adapter plate is replaced with another adapter plate. Also disclosed is a container carrier in which container holders as described above are detachably mounted. An apparatus for handling containers using this container holder comprises mechanisms for performing these handling operations and conveying the container carrier between stations for the handling operations while the containers are received in the container holder. Equipment for warming or cooling containers received in said container carrier comprises mechanisms for repeatedly turning the carrier upside down.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the continuous heat treatment and packaging of a liquid product with the object of sterilizing the product, the product being heated for a short time together with, and surrounded by, the packing material wherein it is to be enclosed. The product is introduced into a tube of flexible material whereupon the tube containing the product is introduced between two parallel metal bands, movably synchronously in their longitudinal direction, the tube being received and compressed between the bands so that the tube is transported with the bands at the same time as the cross-sectional area of the tube is reduced and the product is made to flow forward through the compressed tube in a gaplike space. Heat is transmitted to the product with the help of the metal bands while the product present between the metal bands is kept under pressure. After the heating required for sterilization, the product is cooled and while it is still in the tube, is made to emerge and be freed from the metal bands, whereupon the tube and the product are divided into individual packing units through repeated transverse sealing of the tube.

摘要: The over-pasteurization of a product in a tunnel pasteurizer can result when the normal movement of the product through the pasteurizer is delayed. Over-pasteurization is prevented by cooling the product in the pasteurizing zone to reduce its temperature to a temperature at which no appreciable pasteurization occurs. The temperature of the product may be returned to pasteurizing temperatures when the delay no longer exists. An improved tunnel pasteurizer is described for preventing over-pasteurization by spraying the product with cool water to reduce its temperature. The preferred pasteurizer also includes an automatic level control system for the regenerative paired zones, an external water tank to recover and reuse energy and water usually wasted and a closed cooling system which provides for cooling of the pasteurizer water without the risk of cross-contamination of the cooling source and the pasteurizer.
