Abstract:
A packaged coffee product with oxygen dissolved therein along with milk and/or sweeteners in the sealed packaging is provided. Preferably, the pH of the product is 4.6 or greater, preferably 5.0 or greater. The coffee product may be hot or cold brew coffee and may have other gasses such as nitrogen and/or carbon-dioxide in the sealed container. Ideally, there is oxygen in both the headspace and liquid portion of the beverage in order to inhibit C. Bot growth without requiring retort processing. Preferably, the calorie count is in the range of 0.5-9 calories per ounce.
Abstract:
A method for sterilizing closure elements (3) for packaging containers (1), wherein the closure elements (3) are collected individually by a holding mechanism (25) in the region of a sterile chamber (12) and are placed onto an opening (4) of a filled packaging container (1) and connected to the latter, and wherein the closure elements (3), while being conveyed inside the sterile chamber (12), are treated by means of at least one sterilizing medium (6, 7, 52) during a sterilizing process.
Abstract:
A sterilizing unit comprising at least one heater is provided, wherein said heater comprises a housing and at least one heating element extending in said housing for heating a flow of air being directed through the housing, and wherein said heating element is formed as a band of an electrically conductive material.
Abstract:
An assembly for sterilizing and depyrogenating containers includes a feeding station, a heating station, and a cooling station. The stations are passed through by a conveyor of containers. The cooling station includes a main unit coupled without discontinuities to the heating station and at least one interchangeable air treatment module. The main unit includes at least one inlet aperture connected without interruptions to an air diffuser arranged above at least a portion of the conveyor, and at least one outlet port. Each module has at least one supply hose with shape and dimensions complementary to those of the at least one inlet aperture in order to be detachably coupled thereto, and at least one suction channel with shape and dimensions complementary to those of the at least one outlet port in order to be detachably coupled thereto.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for sterilizing a sleeve that can shorten a sterilization process for a paper container sleeve and ensure a sterilization effect. In a method for sterilizing a sleeve in an aseptic filling system that molds the sleeve into a paper container having a bottomed tubular shape by closing surfaces of an open end part of the sleeve and performs sterilization, filling and sealing of the paper container, the sleeve being a tubular body having walls formed by laminating at least paper, in a state where the sleeve stands in a columnar shape, heated air containing a sterilizer is blasted to an inner surface of the sleeve that is to form a bottom part of the paper container to perform sterilization of the inner surface of the bottom part and heating for the closing at the same time.
Abstract:
A method for controlling a microwave heating system is provided. The method may be used with a system having a liquid-filled microwave heating chamber and includes measuring the value of one or more microwave system parameters. Suitable parameters can include, for example, net microwave power discharged, the temperature of the liquid in the microwave chamber, the flow rate of liquid through the microwave chamber, and the speed of the conveyance system disposed within the microwave chamber. The measured value of the selected parameter is then compared to a target value for that parameter in order to determine a difference. Based on the difference, one or more actions can be taken in order to start, stop, or alter the operation of the microwave heating system.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an intravenous infusion dosage form of pemetrexed or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, having long term stability.
Abstract:
A sealed, empty pouch, wherein the interior of the pouch is particle and pyrogen free, is made by (i) molding a tubular film including an inner surface and an outer surface, and blowing or otherwise directing micro-filtered air and/or other gas through the tubular film during molding; (ii) flattening the molded tubular film; (iii) sealing the flattened tubular film at spaced locations, cutting the sealed film at the spaced locations, and forming a plurality of empty pouches; (iv) over-molding a fitment to the outer surface of each of a plurality of empty pouches and forming a fluid-tight seal between the fitment and the interior of the pouch; and (v) preventing the collection of particles on the inner surface of each pouch, and the exposure of each such inner surface to an ambient atmosphere throughout steps (i) through (iv).
Abstract:
A microwave heating system configured for heating a plurality of articles is provided. One or more of the microwave launchers can be offset slightly, such that the microwave energy introduced into the heating chamber is discharged at a launch tilt angle of at least 2°. Additionally, each launcher can include a microwave-transparent window disposed between the microwave chamber and the one or more launch openings and at least 50 percent of the chamber-side surface of the window can be oriented at an angle of at least 2° from the horizontal.
Abstract:
A device for sterilizing cuboid-shaped cardboard/plastic combipacks in an autoclave, wherein the packs consisting of product and packing are subjected to heat treatment at a certain temperature over a certain period of time, wherein the product consists of a liquid and chunky portions, and wherein mechanisms are provided inside the autoclave to drive the packs rotationally about a rotational spindle, and a cuboid-shaped cardboard/plastic combipack for use in such a device.A plurality of packs, are arranged closely adjacent to one another in parallel rows, to be arranged on support floors and for a plurality of support floors loaded with packs to be arranged one above the other and fixed in their mutual positions. The cardboard for the pack used therewith is made water-repellent by means of glue to reduce the intake of water.
