Abstract: An electronic device and a method for determining the intensity of a low-frequency current are provided. The method includes: individually applying a corresponding first current to a body part of a user in N consecutive time intervals, wherein the time intervals include an i-th time interval to an (i+N)-th time interval; obtaining electromyography values of the body part in each time interval; determining a second current corresponding to an (i+N+1)-th time interval based on the first current corresponding to each time interval, the body part, personal information of the user, and the electromyography values of each time interval; and applying a second current to the body part of the user in the (i+N+1)-th time interval.

Abstract: A technique for using biofeedback to facilitate and quantify accurate patient assessments includes receiving brainwave activity readings of a provider and a recipient(s) before, during, and post an interaction between the provider and the recipient(s) for a procedure. The brainwave readings being indicative of the state of mind of the provider and the recipient(s). The provider performs a therapeutic or knowledge transfer to the patient(s)/recipient(s) and evaluates the impact/efficacy of the procedure on them. The system correlates the collected brainwave activity signals of the provider and the recipient(s) to determine the efficacy of the therapeutic or knowledge transfer procedure. The brainwave activity signals are collected using a headgear based on an electroencephalogram system and an electromyography system. The electromyography system positions electromyography sensors to measure scalp muscle movements of the provider and recipient(s) and remove the effects of scalp muscle movements from the electroencephalogram readings to provide true brainwave readings.

Abstract: Methods and systems used in calibrating the position and/or orientation of a wearable device configured to be worn on a wrist or forearm of a user, the method comprises sensing a plurality of neuromuscular signals from the user using a plurality of sensors arranged on the wearable device, and providing the plurality of neuromuscular signals and/or signals derived from the plurality of neuromuscular signals as inputs to one or more trained autocalibration models, determining based, at least in part, on the output of the one or more trained autocalibration models, a current position and/or orientation of the wearable device on the user, and generating a control signal based, at least in part, on the current position and/or orientation of the wearable device on the user and the plurality of neuromuscular signals.

Abstract: An electromyography processing apparatus 1 includes a storage device 10 that stores electromyography data 11 of a predetermined muscle, a pre-processing unit 22 that calculates a root-mean-square value in the electromyography data 11 for each predetermined time and generates root-mean-square value data including the root-mean-square value for each time, and an onset detection unit 23 that sets a sliding window for onset detection to a predetermined time of the root-mean-square value data and determines that a predetermined time is an onset portion if the average of the root-mean-square values in the sliding window is higher than a threshold value, and the onset detection unit 23 further includes a threshold value determination unit 24 that sets a sliding window for threshold value detection to the predetermined time and determines a threshold value based on the average of the root-mean-square values in the sliding window for threshold value detection.
