Abstract: In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides examples of a method for treating a demyelinating neuropathy. Electrodes can be placed on a muscle area of a patient to acquire a compound muscle action potential (CMAP) measure of the muscle integrity of the patient. A biological sample of the patient can be obtained. The patient can be identified as having a demyelinating neuropathy by inputting a conduction measure associated with a CMAP amplitude comprised in the CMAP measure into a regression model to determine a conduction measure that is within a demyelinating range defined by the regression model and determining, from the biological sample of the patient, a biomarker activity measure of the patient that is above a predetermined threshold. The method includes administering to the patient identified as having a demyelinating neuropathy a therapeutically effective amount of at least one agent used to treat the demyelinating neuropathy.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing algorithmic equipment and/or accessory recommendations are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a method providing an equipment or accessory recommendation to an athlete includes: monitoring a first amplitude of a first muscle of the athlete by a first wearable muscle response sensor carried by the athlete; monitoring a second amplitude of a second muscle of the athlete by a second wearable muscle response sensor carried by the athlete; determining a difference between the first amplitude and the second amplitude; comparing the difference to a predetermined amplitude threshold; and based on the comparing, providing an equipment or accessory recommendation to the athlete.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatic pain monitoring and assessment are described herein. In one example, the system may include a wearable facial expression capturing system that is placed over a subject's face. The system may be embedded with a plurality of sensors configured to detect biosignals from facial muscles and may additionally include a sensor node that recognizes facial expressions based on the detected biosignals. Pain experienced by the subject is assessed based on the facial expressions in conjunction with physiological signals obtained by other wearable sensors.

Abstract: A functional electrical stimulation (FES) device includes electrodes arranged to apply functional electrical stimulation to a body part of the user. FES stimulation is performed by: receiving values of a set of user metrics for the user; receiving a target position of the body part represented as values for a set of body part position measurements; determining a user-specific energization pattern for producing the target position based on the received target position and the received values of the set of user metrics for the user; and energizing the electrodes of the FES device in accordance with the determined user-specific energization pattern. The determination may utilize an FES calibration database with records having fields containing: values of the set of user metrics for reference users; energization patterns; and values of the set of body part position metrics for positions assumed by the body part in response to applying the energization patterns.
