摘要: A mobility augmentation system assists a user's movement by determining a corresponding electrical stimulation for the movement. A wearable stimulation array includes sensors, electrodes, an electrode multiplexer, and a controller that executes the mobility augmentation system. The sensors measure movement data, and the mobility augmentation system applies a movement model to the measured movement data. The model can determine different electrical actuation instructions depending on the movement stimulated. For example, to stimulate a knee flexion, the movement model output enables a first set of the electrodes to operate as cathodes and a second set of electrodes to operate as anodes. To stimulate a knee extension, the first set of electrodes can be enabled to operate as anodes and a third set of electrodes as cathodes. The user can provide feedback of the applied stimulation, which the system can use to retrain the model and optimize the stimulation to the user.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for pelvic floor feedback. The method includes capturing a strength of action potentials via wireless sensors, the wireless sensors positioned proximate to a pelvic floor of a user. The method also includes transmitting the strength of the action potentials to a mobile device. The method also includes recording the strength of the action potentials on the mobile device.

摘要: A kinemyography sensor includes a support frame and a flexible substrate, wherein at least a portion of the flexible substrate is attached to the support frame. The support frame is configured to attach to a patient's thumb and forefinger and has a bendable middle section configured to bend in response to movement of the patient's thumb. A printed stimulation circuit is printed on the substrate and includes a pair of stimulation electrodes configured to adhere to a patient's skin to deliver a kinemyography stimulus, and a printed bend sensor is printed on the substrate and located on the bendable middle section of the support frame, wherein the printed bend sensor is configured to sense the bending of the support frame.

摘要: A method of evaluating rehabilitation potential in patients experiencing painful musculoskeletal or neuropathic conditions or both, by maximizing multidimensional rehabilitation outcomes by better identifying the specific needs of each patient; understanding the many obstacles to rehabilitation success falling into motivational, physical, and emotional categories; physical obstacles to rehabilitation including but not limited to incorrect diagnoses and deconditioning; emotional obstacles including fear avoidance, catastrophizing, generalized anxiety, depression, childhood adverse events, emotional awareness deficits; and motivational obstacles including factitious disorder, personality disorders, malingering and apathy. The resulting comprehensive pain rehabilitation program combines multiple treatment options. Medicinal treatments include anti-inflammatory medications; muscle relaxants; opioids and cannabinoids; injection therapies; neuropathic medications; and pain adjuvant medications. Mental health services include mindfulness, biofeedback, progressive relaxation, cognitive behavioral therapies, logotherapy, and trauma therapies. Physical rehabilitation services include physical or occupational therapy; chiropractic; massage therapy; acupuncture; osteopathy and personalized exercises.

摘要: In some aspects, the disclosure relates to a prepulse inhibition (PPI) assay comprising the steps of, administering a tactile prepulse to a human subject, administering a startle stimulus to the subject, and measuring the subject's response to the startle stimulus. In another aspect, the disclosure relates to a method for evaluating tactile hypersensitivity and/or sensorimotor impairment in a human subject, comprising, administering to the subject a PPI assay according to any one of the preceding claims, comparing the assay results to neuro-typical controls, and determining the degree of tactile hypersensitivity and/or sensorimotor impairment in the subject.

摘要: Neuromuscular monitoring is described that uses a novel lead assembly and a monitor that can select the appropriate electrodes on the lead assembly and calibrate the stimulation signals applied to the patient through the lead assembly. The monitoring can also set a noise floor value to reduce the likelihood of an erroneous train of four calculations. The present system can automatically sense train of four response of a patient and reduce the likelihood of false train of four indications.
