摘要： A process of yarn spinning and/or twisting, in which a yarn runs between a yarn feeding means (1) towards a yarn picking means is provided. A driving means rotates the yarn picking means at a predetermined speed, in which a stretch of balloon is generated in a point located between the feeding means (1) and the picking means by the presence of twisting means. A helical path with oscillating spiral diameters exists between the yarn feeding means (1) and the yarn picking means, so that the path of the yarn, by the operation of the twisting means, creates a body of revolution from a diameter generating a balloon that has at least a hyperboloid structure (E) forming at least two stretches of balloons (B) consecutive to each other. A machine for performing the process is also provided.

摘要： For use with a ring spinning apparatus, a drawing frame is described, which comprises two delivery rollers, which define between them an exit nip for a drawn fibrous roving and one of which defines on its air-permeable peripheral surface a deflecting path for the fibrous roving being delivered and a suction zone, which extends along the deflecting path between the exit nip and a pressure, applying roller, which is peripherally spaced from said nip, and the suction zone comprises two juxtaposed and laterally spaced apart branch suction zones, and a blast nozzle is disposed between said branch suction zones and is operable to direct an air blast against the suction-free area which is disposed between the branch zones, whereby the drawn fibrous roving is divided into two branch rovings. The two branch suction zones merge in the suction zone upstream of the pressure-applying roller into a peripherally extending common suction zone portion.

摘要： Method and apparatus for high speed false twist texturing of yarns, which makes it possible to perform false twist texturing smoothly at a yarn speed of 1,000 m/min or higher. The number of false-twists inserted per meter of yarn is determined by Equation 1, while the yarn is false-twisted at a yarn speed satisfying Equation 2 and at a short yarn path length satisfying Equation 3: ##EQU1## wherein T is the number of false-twists inserted per meter of yarn, V is the yarn speed of false twist texturing (m/sec), L is the yarn path length from teed rollers to a false twister (m), and A is a cross sectional area of the yarn (m.sup.2), which is obtained by dividing the denier of the yarn by the density of the yarn. The false-twist texturing apparatus includes feed rollers feeding yarn to a false-twisting zone, a heating device bringing the yarn into direct contact with steam, a cooling device bringing the yarn into direct contact with water, a false twister and delivery rollers, in this order.

摘要： A twisting apparatus for light and heavy yarns has a conventional twister wherein the yarn packages are supported rotatably on a rotating flyer but is inhibited from rotation by magnets on the yarn-package holder and upright walls surrounding the yarn-package holder. The flyer is rotated at high speed so as to form a yarn balloon around the yarn-package. The walls surrounding the yarn-package holder form a square at their tops and a circle at their bottoms. When heavy-gauge yarns are being twisted an insert in the form of a cylindrical sleeve is fitted within the device to limit the balloon size. An elastomeric ring surrounding the lower portion of the outside of this sleeve is snugly engageable with the frustoconical lower surface of the interior of the surrounding walls so as to hold the sleeve centered in the apparatus.
