摘要: In a bearing device, a squeeze film damper includes an annular mass member disposed in a floating state between an outer periphery of an outer race and an inner periphery of a bearing retaining member, a first squeeze film damper part formed between the outer periphery of the outer race and an inner periphery of the annular mass member, and a second squeeze film damper part formed between an outer periphery of the annular mass member and the inner periphery of the bearing retaining member. Therefore, due to the floatingly supported annular mass member being eccentric with the opposite phase to a rotating shaft, which is eccentric and undergoes centrifugal whirling, an inertial force acting on the annular mass member counteracts the centrifugal force acting on the rotating shaft, thus enabling a damping effect to be exhibited.

摘要: When inner diameter side opening portions are projected on an outer circumferential surface of a retainer along extension lines of central lines of radial holes, at least parts of the inner diameter side opening portions of a plurality of radial holes of an outer ring are positioned within an area of two circles formed by connecting each of axial end portions of adjacent pockets of the retainer in an axial direction. When a central line of any one radial hole coincides with a circumferential phase of a center of a ball, any other radial hole is formed such that the projected inner diameter side opening portion is separated from the ball and an inner circumferential surface of the pocket when viewed from the radial direction of the ball bearing, and a central line of the other radial hole overlaps with the pocket when viewed from the axial direction.

摘要: A rotatable bearing assembly transfers a weight of a drill string to a mud motor output shaft extending therethrough. The bearing assembly includes an outer bearing housing, an upper radial bearing assembly providing an upper radial bearing between the outer bearing housing and the output shaft, a balance piston that fluidly seals an upper end of the outer bearing housing and balances a pressure within the outer bearing housing, a lower radial bearing/seal assembly configured to both fluidly seal a lower end of the outer bearing housing and provide a lower radial bearing between the outer bearing housing and the output shaft, and a thrust bearing assembly received within the sealed interior of the outer bearing housing such that the bearing assembly initially operates in a sealed, lubricated mode and then a mud lube mode in the event of one or more seal failures. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

摘要: A bearing type gear system for use with low seam crawler drive for underground mining equipment. The Bearing type gear system is comprised generally of a shaft, a set of multiple lubrication reservoirs, a needle bearing set or sets, a gear or gears, and gear teeth on the gear(s). As lubrication is sent into the shaft and gear area, the reservoirs along the shaft will pick up and hold portions of the lubrication. The reservoirs of the design herein, holding lubrication, can then help distribute the lubrication into the bearings over a greater amount of time. The reservoirs are of a number and location of intervals to provide sufficient lubrication to the entire surface of the shaft of the reservoirs as the shaft turns.

摘要: A motor is configured to drive a centrifugal compressor. The motor includes a stator, a rotor, and a shaft. The shaft is supported by a pressure dam bearing (230,240). The pressure dam bearing is lubricated with a lubricant. The lubricant creates a lubricant wedge within the pressure dam bearing that exert an upward force on the shaft. The upward force causes an amount of vibration within the motor. The pressure dam bearing includes a pressure dam (232,242) configured to hold a portion of the lubricant and exert a downward force on the shaft. The downward force balances the upward force and reduces the amount of vibration within the motor, thus achieving greater hydrodynamic stabilization.

摘要: A turbine engine unit for lubricating a bearing holder. A turbine engine unit is provided, including an inter-turbine housing that includes a hub including a bearing holder, a ferrule extending around and at a distance from the hub, at least one arm extending radially between the hub and the ferrule, and at least one lead-through for lubricating the bearing holder. The lead-through includes a first pipe having an end portion that can be screwed onto the hub so as to place the first pipe in fluid communication with the bearing holder, an intermediate portion secured to the end portion placed inside the arm when the end portion is screwed onto the hub, and a clamping portion secured to the end portion and rotatable by a clamping tool. The turbine engine unit is characterized in that the clamping portion is located between the screwable end portion and the intermediate portion. A corresponding turbine engine unit assembly method is also provided.
