摘要: In combination with a pipe (213), a clamp (201) is provided which supports the pipe in a fixed position with respect to a substrate. The clamp includes first (203) and second (205) bands, wherein each of the first and second bands has an arcuate portion (209) and first and second terminal portions (211), and wherein the arcuate portions of the first and second bands are disposed in opposing relation around the surface of the pipe. A first fastener (207) extends through the first terminal portions of the first and second bands, and a second fastener extends through the second terminal portions of the first and second bands. A thermal insulator (233) is disposed between the first fastener and the first terminal portions of the first and second bands, and between the second fastener and the second terminal portions of the first and second bands.

摘要: A pipe insulation shield includes a metal sheet having first and second longitudinal edges, an arcuate shape from the first longitudinal edge to the second longitudinal edge, and first and second arcuate edges. The arcuate shape defines a channel with a lower portion that has first and second opposing, U-shaped apertures passing through it, which define opposing first and second metal tabs. Each of the first and second tabs is pivotable from a first position parallel to the lower portion of the sheet to a second position transverse to the lower portion of the sheet, and each of the first and second tabs pivots towards the other when pivoted from the first position to the second position. The tabs are sufficiently spaced apart from each other to accommodate different support structures. In advantageous embodiments, the four corners of sheet are rounded.

摘要: A riser clamp assembly for receiving and supporting an insulated pipe. The clamp assembly includes a first riser clamp and a second riser clamp. Each of the riser clamps includes a semi-circular body portion extending arcuately between opposite first and second ends and defining an inner cylindrical wall and an outer cylindrical wall extending axial between top and bottom edges. A generally C-shaped flange projects radially from the inner cylindrical wall generally midway between the top and bottom edges to define an axial center opening. A support brace extends radially from the outer cylindrical wall adjacent each end of the body portion for interconnecting the first and second riser clamps around the insulated pipe.

摘要: A pipe support is coupled to an elongated channel for receiving and supporting a pipe. The channel includes a base and a pair of spaced apart sidewalls extending from the base to a bottom plate. A flange projects downwardly from each top plate towards the base and defines a slot therebetween. The pipe support includes a body portion extending axially between opposite ends and having an inner surface and an outer surface. The body portion includes a generally arcuate bottom floor and a pair of spaced apart sidewalls projecting generally upwardly from the bottom floor. A pair of axially spaced apart channel locks projects downwardly from the outer surface of the body portion adjacent each of the spaced apart sidewalls of the channel. A retainer strap selectively connects to and between the channel locks for coupling the pipe support to the channel.

摘要: A method for assembling a reinforced non-compressible pipe support by inserting a plurality of generally cylindrical holes in a first sheet of insulation in a pre-determined pattern, inserting a similar group of holes in at least a second sheet of insulation so that the holes of both sheets line up when the first sheet is placed against a pre-determined cylindrical or flat form and the second sheet is placed on top of the first sheet thereby forming contiguous voids where mating holes are positioned adjacent each other, applying a pressurized flowable material to fill each void along its longitudinal axis, and curing the material until it forms a hardened material thereby forming the plurality of sheets into a non-compressible arcuate body having an inner radius of curvature that fits against a pipe or into a rectilinear block. Multiples sheets may be adhered and thermoplastic or resin used to fuse them together.
