摘要: An outer rotor type brushless motor comprising an outer rotor having permanent magnets fixed onto an inner periphery of a rotor yoke, a stator including a stator core having a plural of magnetic pole portions protruded on an outer periphery thereof and coils wound on the magnetic pole portions, a cylindrical boss disposed on an inner periphery of an annular portion of the stator core, a rotational shaft extending along an axis of the boss and rotationally supported on the boss through a bearing with a leading end of the shaft having a center portion of the rotor yoke fixed thereto and a mounting plate fixed onto an outer periphery of the boss wherein the boss is formed of resin mold and extending through a hole in the mounting plate and fixed thereto and the annular portion of the stator core is mounted on and fixed to a rising portion on the inner periphery of the mounting plate.

摘要: A disc drive spindle motor for reducing the idle noise of a disc drive includes a stator having a first cylindrical surface for contacting a motor mount of the spindle motor. The motor mount includes a second cylindrical surface for contacting only a portion of the first cylindrical surface of the stator to reduce the transmission of vibrations from the stator to a base plate of the disc drive. The motor mount may be attached to a base plate of the disc drive when the spindle motor is formed separately from the disc drive. Alternatively, the motor mount may be formed integrally with the base plate of the disc drive.

摘要: A spindle motor incorporates a shaft having a known outer diameter and a stator having a known inner diameter which is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the shaft so that it may slip over the shaft. Die cut sharp features are defined in the inner diameter of the stator laminations. These features extending radially inward from the generally circular inner diameter of the stator laminations so that these features establish an interference fit with the outer surface of the shaft which the structure is mounted. When the stack is pressed onto the outer surface of the shaft to which it is mounted and supported, the coating on the stack will scrape off, thus establishing a metal-to-metal contact between the stack and the adjoining outer surface of the shaft. As a result of this, a tight interference fit will be established between the inner surface of the stack and the outer surface of the shaft, thus both radially fixing the stack on the shaft, and grounding the stack to the shaft.

摘要: A spindle motor comprises a baseplate. a shaft supported by said baseplate, a stator assembly having windings, the stator being rigidly attached to said baseplate, injection molded thermoplastic material encapsulating said windings, and a hub supported on said shaft, said hub having a magnet connected thereto in operable proximity to the stator assembly. In one embodiment, the stator is cordless. In other embodiments, the stator has a core and the core is substantially encapsulated by the thermoplastic material. In preferred embodiments, the thermoplastic material secures the stator to the baseplate or forms the baseplate.

摘要: A spindle motor employed for a hard disk unit, including a hub having an outer peripheral wall portion provided with a rotor magnet on its outer peripheral surface and formed so as to be able to support the inner peripheral portion of a hard disk and a stator coil fixed so as to be positioned outwards in the radial direction of the disk and face the rotor magnet. This spindle motor is assembled in the disk unit, in which each stator coil is disposed so that the tracing of the magnetic head in movement is positioned between adjacent cores, thereby the magnetic head is affected less by the leak magnetic flux from the stator coil. In addition, the scanning head is moved to its unloading position with use of an energy accumulated in the capacitor when the power of the disk unit is turned off.

摘要: The motor has a stator and a rotor. One of the elements has coils constituting a three-phase winding and an electronic control module having inputs connected to rotor position sensors and to a speed reference signal (Vc), and including a power circuit for powering the phases from a DC source under the control of a processor. The processor causes the phases to be powered at variable duty ratio so as to regulate speed in a first mode without overlap in time between the periods in which the various phases are powered with voltage pulses, and in a second mode in which there is 33% overlap of power to two phases, and it causes a changeover from the first mode to the second mode when the duty ratio reaches a predetermined value lying in the range 70% to 100%, and a changeover from the second mode to the first mode when the duty ratio falls below another predetermined value.

摘要: An axial tube assembly of a motor includes an axial tube around which a stator assembly is mounted, an engaging member, and a sleeve in which a bearing is mounted. The engaging member includes a base and a plurality of resilient legs projecting from the base. Each resilient leg has a hook on a distal end thereof. The base of the engaging member is engaged with and thus seals a bottom end of an axial hole of the axial tube. The sleeve is mounted in the engaging member and has a base portion. The hook of each resilient leg is pressed outward to thereby retain the stator assembly in place when the sleeve and the engaging member are received in the axial tube, with the resilient legs of the engaging member together holding the sleeve to thereby allow tight engagement between the sleeve and the bearing.
