    摘要: An involute gear is disclosed. A circular base has a surface that includes an inner region and an outer region. A gear tooth extends outward from the outer region of the surface. A shape of the gear tooth is defined by a varying cross-sectional involute profile. Starting from a first involute profile that is in a plane parallel to the surface of the circular base and extending outward from a center of the circular base, each location on the first involute profile is rotated about a corresponding axis while traversing a path defined by a corresponding imaginary ray extending from the center of the circular base to that location in the first involute profile. The corresponding axis is tangential to an imaginary circle that encompasses the inner region of the surface and is perpendicular to the corresponding imaginary ray.

    摘要: A control system for a shutter is disclosed. The shutter includes a force-bearing mechanism and a plurality of slats. The control system includes a power source, a driving device connected to the power source to output a first driving force, which drives the force-bearing mechanism to rotate the slats, and a clutch mechanism, which includes an input member and an output member which are drivable to be connected together for synchronous operation, or to be mutually disconnected for independent operation. When the driving device outputs the first driving force, the input member is engaged with the output member, and the first driving force can be transmitted to the force-bearing mechanism through the clutch mechanism to rotate the slats. When the driving device stops, the input member is disengaged from the output member, and the slats and the force-bearing mechanism are rotatable relative to the driving device.

    摘要: The present invention is a gear driven louver shutter system, wherein each louver of the shutter system is attached to the end of a pinion at both its ends. The base of each pinion is engaged with a gear strip disposed within each frame member, with a glide strip having a channel for the gear strip to glide within. When one louver is adjusted, all the louvers in the shutter system will move accordingly, due to the movement of the gear strip rotating the pinions in that frame member at the same rate. The glide strip may be held within the frame member by a friction fit or a clamping groove on the inside wall of the frame member.

    摘要: A shutter-blind system for windows is provided. The system includes a frame and a plurality of rotatable parallel louvers coupled within the frame. Each louver of the plurality of louvers is operatively coupled to adjacent louvers with a collapsible linkage. The system may further comprise a biasing member coupled to a first louver located at a first end of the plurality of louvers and a resisting member coupled to a second louver located at a second end of the plurality of louvers. The biasing member pulls against the resisting member to maintain tension in the collapsible linkage. According to certain embodiments, the frame elements are coupled within a window opening and trim elements are coupled to cover gaps between the frame elements and the window opening.
