摘要: An improved method and system of carbon sequestration of a pyrolysis piston engine power system is provided. The system includes a pyrolysis piston engine for generating power and exhaust gas and a water cooling and separation unit which receives the exhaust gas and cools and removes water from the exhaust gas to create C02 gas supply. The system also includes a mixing pressure vessel which receives at least a portion of the C02 gas supply from the water cooling and separation unit and mixes the C02 gas supply with oxygen to create a working fluid to be provided to the piston engine and an oxygen generator for providing oxygen to the mixing pressure vessel. The system also includes a pyrolysis interface for inputting byproducts from a pyrolysis system, wherein the pyrolysis interface comprises a pyrolysis gas interface and a pyrolysis gas/oil interface.

摘要: Embodiments of emission reduction system including various embodiments of an emission filters for a power plant including a gas turbine are disclosed. The system includes: an emission filter; and a retraction system operably coupled to an exhaust passage of the gas turbine. The exhaust passage defines an exhaust path of exhaust from the gas turbine. The retraction system selectively moves the emission filter between a first location within the exhaust path and a second location out of the exhaust path. In a combined cycle power plant, the first location is upstream of a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). The systems and filters described allow for temporary positioning of emission filter(s) just downstream of a gas turbine exhaust outlet, or upstream of an HRSG, where provided, for emission reduction at low loads or startup conditions, and removal of the emission filter(s) once operations move to higher loads.

摘要: A combined cycle power generation plant has parallel, normally-independent power generation trains, each having a gas turbine in line with a heat recovery steam generator. In a “parked” or spinning reserve operational state, combustion is discontinued at the gas turbine of one power generation train, which is placed on a turning gear. Combustion at the other power train is reduced, preferably to a minimum emissions-compliant level (NOx, CO) of the gas turbine operated at low level combustion. A bypass duct with controllable dampers apportions exhaust from the operating gas turbine to the heat recovery steam generators of both power trains. This maintains an elevated temperature in both heat recovery steam generators and enables fast restart.

摘要: The power system comprises a working fluid circuit having a high pressure side and a low pressure side and configured to flow a working fluid therethrough. The working fluid circuit further comprises a heater configured to circulate the working fluid in heat exchange relationship with a hot fluid to vaporize the working fluid. The system further comprises serially arranged first expander and second expander fluidly coupled to the working fluid circuit and disposed between the high pressure side and the low pressure side thereof. One of the expanders drives a load and the other expander drives a pump or compressor fluidly coupled to the working fluid circuit between the low pressure side and the high pressure side thereof. A cooler is further arranged and configured to remove heat from the working fluid in the low pressure side of the working fluid circuit.

摘要: The invention provides various designs of an apparatus and method for attemperating a gas stream temperature. The apparatus of the present invention provides a body through which a gas stream passes that permits, as desired, a second gas, such as gas outside of the gas duct or such as ambient air, to be added to the main gas stream to attemperate the temperature of the main gas stream. The body or device may be referred to as a variable eductor having a plurality of openings through which a second gas may pass into the main gas stream. The openings may be opened or closed, and the variable eductor provides control over which openings and the degree to which each opening is opened. In some designs the variable eductor is inserted between two portions of a gas duct. The variable eductor has widespread application, such as downstream of a gas turbine to attemperate the exhaust gas temperature during startup.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to maintain the intake pressure of a water supply pump at an operable pressure. A boiler is provided with: condensate pumps (a condensate pump and an auxiliary condensate pump); a branch line that causes water delivered by the condensate pumps to branch; a drum (a low-pressure drum) that is connected to one (a low-pressure branch line) of two lines into which the branch line branches; and a water supply pump that is connected to the other (a high-pressure branch line) of the two lines into which the branching line branches and that pumps water to an evaporator (a high-pressure evaporator). The boiler is additionally provided with pressure applying means that guides a portion of the water in the drum to the water supply pump side when the intake pressure on the inlet side of the water supply pump has become lower than a predetermined pressure.

摘要: The present invention relates to a Rankine system comprising a valve including a valve member. The valve member is provided with a valve controlling element in the form of an elongated tapered end portion with a tip end facing the duct, wherein the tapered end portion is arranged to be inserted through the opening and into the duct as the valve member is moved towards the valve seat. The actuator is configured to hold the valve member in at least one intermediate position between the first and second end positions, where the tapered end portion occupies a portion of a cross-sectional fluid through-flow area defined by the duct so as to partly restrict a flow of fluid through the duct.
