摘要： A sun reflecting device capable of reflecting sunlight off of a mirror through a window and onto the ceiling of a room. The mirror holding assembly is adhered the outside of the window by suction cups or other mounting structure. The mirror is capable of changing angles by adjusting the height of a pair of lead screws which are attached to the underside of the mirror by universal joints and terminate on a support platform. A central post also supports the mirror and is attached by a universal joint. The lead screws are driven by stepper motors. A photosensor array is mounted to the inside of the window and an auxiliary mirror which is attached to the main mirror reflects sunlight on to the photosensor array. A microcontroller circuit responds to the photosensors' input and sends signals to the stepper motors so that the mirror is maintained in an ideal position to reflect sunlight to the chosen spot on the ceiling.

The skirt defines an open circular periphery, and plural circular grooves are formed on the inside surface of the skirt parallel to the periphery. The grooves direct light into a vertical reflecting tube that is in communication with the cover, and the light propagates downwardly through the tube and through a ceiling-mounted light diffuser to illuminate an interior room of the building on which the cover is mounted.

摘要： A stack of light-deflecting elements are installed in a window. Each deflecting element has a solar ray inlet, a curved middle section and an end comprising a ray outlet into the room. Each element is rectilinear at the outlet end so that rays are dispersed and emerge from the light-deflecting elements in prisms of rays, the bottom edge of which is horizontal. The solar rays entering the light-deflecting elements are subjected to multiple total internal reflections at a different angle. The angle of the normal line of the deflector elements to the horizontal is selected so that the largest possible amount of sunlight can be captured and conveyed into the room to illuminate the room with a uniform, diffuse distribution.

摘要： An apparatus designed to direct daylight through an aperture toward a target area in a building or other structure is disclosed. A housing provides a base attachable to the building and a support structure for supporting a reflector above the aperture. According to one embodiment of the invention the reflector is in the shape of an inverted cone. A light diffusing lens structure is disposed in the optical path between the reflector and the target area. In use, light is transmitted through the support structure, reflected from the surface of the reflector, and dispersed about the target area by the light diffusing lens structure.

摘要： A radiant energy collecting apparatus for collecting and concentrating solar energy having a primary parabolic reflector which focuses the sun's rays on a focal line and has a principal axis passing through the focal line and a secondary concentrating assembly located adjacent the focal line of the primary reflector. The secondary concentrating assembly, includes a pair of planar reflectors arranged on opposite sides of the principle axis of the primary reflector and a series of secondary parabolic reflectors between the planar reflectors, the secondary parabolic reflectors having focal lines which extend normal to the planar reflectors and to the principal axis of the primary reflector. The secondary reflectors are mounted for rotation about their focal lines and concentrate energy on targets extending along their focal lines.

摘要： A device efficiently collects energy from a moving source without having to actively track the source. The device includes a primary concentrator, a secondary reflector and a target position. The primary concentrator is positioned to receive energy from the moving energy source and to direct the energy toward the secondary reflector. The bundle then carries the light a relatively short distance to an instrument panel where it may be disbursed at a diffuser for projection through an LCD.
