A method based on pulse wave analysis for monitoring cardiovascular vital signs, including: measuring a photoplethysmography (PPG) signal during a measurement time period such as to obtain a time series of PPG pulses; and during the measurement time period, identifying individual PPG pulses in the PPG signal, each PPG pulse corresponding to a PPG pulse cycle. For each PPG pulse, the method uses a pulse-wave analysis technique to determine, within the pulse cycle, at least one of: a time-related feature comprising a time duration and a normalized amplitude-related pulse-related feature and a SNR-related pulse-related. For each PPG pulse, a machine learning model is used in combination with the determined time-related, normalized amplitude-related and SNR-related features, to classify each PPG pulse in the pre-processed PPG signal as “normal”, “pathological” or “non-physiological” such as to output a time series of pulse classes.

The grating is defined by a set of parameters comprising: •grating period (P), separating two adjacent patterns, •grating depth (d) between the highest and the lowest point of the pattern, •incident angle mean value (θ) of the incident light with respect to the waveguide. The method comprises a step of optimization of the set of parameters to obtain an optimized second set of parameters, in order to obtain a transmission efficiency (Ce) of the incident light into said waveguide for the first or the second diffractive order exceeding 35% for unpolarized light, or exceeding 50% for polarized light, at a given wavelength of the incident light.

The invention concerns a micro-machined vapor cell comprising a central silicon element forming a cavity containing vapor cell reactants such as alkali metal or alkali metal azide, buffer gas(es), and/or anti relaxation coating(s); a first and a second glass caps sealing the cavity; and a solenoid arranged to provide a homogeneous magnetic field to said vapor cell. The solenoid is coiled directly on the central silicon element of the vapor cell. This invention is an improvement for the highly miniaturized atomic clocks developments.
