摘要: The present invention generally relates to electrolytes for use in various electrochemical devices. In some cases, the electrolytes are relatively safe to use; for example, the electrolytes may be resistant to overheating, catching on fire, burning, exploding, etc. In some embodiments, such electrolytes may be useful for certain types of high-voltage cathode materials. In some cases, the electrolytes may include ion dissociation compounds that can dissociate tight ion pairs. Non-limiting examples of ion dissociation compounds include trialkyl phosphates, sulfones, or the like. Other aspects of the invention are generally directed to devices including such electrolytes, methods of making or using such electrolytes, kits including such electrolytes, or the like.

摘要: This disclosure relates to rechargeable battery packs and or rechargeable battery modules consisting of electrochemical cells in general and more specifically to lithium metal anode secondary electrochemical cells and the supporting mechanical structure of such packs or modules which apply and maintain a high and uniform normal compression pressure to the face of the interconnected cells of said battery packs, modules or individual cells, in order to suppress dendrite formation during charge and maintain a low cell impedance during charge and discharge. This is achieved with the use of a compression assembly having a compressible sheet with desired properties.

摘要: Disclosed is an electrolyte composition comprising an electrolyte salt, a monomer and an initiator that does not include any groups leading to gas formation during polymerization of the monomer. Also disclosed is an electrolyte composition comprising an electrolyte salt, a monomer and an initiator, wherein the electrolyte composition has a long shelf life. In one embodiment, the electrolyte composition has a viscosity of less than 1000 cP after it is stored 25° C. for 14 days. The disclosure further provides a polymer electrolyte synthesized from the electrolyte composition. In one embodiment, the polymer electrolyte is substantially free of visible bubbles. An electrochemical device comprising the same and preparation method therefor are also disclosed.

摘要: A cell assembly has a plurality of first electrodes, a plurality of second electrodes and a plurality of solid electrolyte layers. The solid electrolyte layers have a protrusion in at least one of the solid electrolyte layers. The protrusion is aligned with a first electrode tab of one of the first electrodes. The folding of the first electrode tabs causes the protrusions to be positioned to separate the first electrode tabs from the second electrodes, thus preventing short circuit between the first electrode tabs and second electrodes. In one aspect, the disclosure provides an all solid-state battery comprising one or more anodes, one or more cathodes and one or more solid electrolyte layers with a protrusion. Also disclosed is a method for preparing same.
