One method includes linking a streaming service application to an application to enable access to passenger related information to the streaming service application provided by the application and enable access to media content related information by the application; presenting, by the streaming service application, media content to a passenger on an electronic device, prior to a first flight; predicting, by the streaming service application, media content that the passenger is likely to watch during the first flight; obtaining, by the application, information regarding the first flight likely to watch media content; pre-loading the first flight likely to watch media content in a storage device accessible by an in-flight entertainment (IFE) system during the first flight; and presenting, by the IFE system, the first flight likely to watch media content on a display device.

    摘要: An apparatus for assisting a pairing operation is provided. The apparatus comprises: a processor included in an intermediate device in communication with a source device to which a wireless electronic device is to be wirelessly connected through the pairing operation; and a storage included in the intermediate device and in communication with the processor, the storage configured to store pairing information of the wireless electronic device, the pairing information including a profile of the wireless electronic device that enables to complete the pairing operation with the source device. The storage further stores instructions, upon being executed, to instruct the processor to: determine to initiate the pairing operation for the wireless electronic device; and provide the pairing information of the wireless electronic device to the source device such that a wireless communication link is established between the wireless electronic device and the source device based on the pairing information of the wireless electronic device.

    摘要: Systems and methods for providing preview samples of media content, such as early window movies, which is secure against unauthorized copying of the media content. The system includes a media receiving server configured to receive secure media content, such as early window movies, from a movie provider. The media receiving server generates a preview sample including a video sample including a series of still digital images from the video file, each separated by a time interval in the video file from the other still digital images in the series of still digital images; and an audio sample including a series of audio clips from the video file, each separated by a time interval in the video file from the other audio clips in the series of audio clips. A customer of the media content can review the sample preview on a customer portal, but cannot access the original media content.

    摘要: A system for predicting an outage for a commercial passenger vehicle is described. The system includes a storage configured to store travel information of an upcoming travel by the commercial passenger vehicle that is configured to provide a network connectivity for devices in the commercial passenger vehicle to remote devices; and a server configured to process the travel information and generate an output indicative of a probability of an outage of the network connectivity based on the travel information of the upcoming travel, and wherein the server is further configured to apply a machine learning algorithm that (1) processes the travel information based on history information related to a planned route to be taken during the upcoming travel and regulation information related to the upcoming travel and (2) determines the probability of the outage along the planned route.
