    摘要: A system and method for remote control of a passenger control unit (PCU) via a mobile communications device includes a wireless controller and receiver installed between the PCU and a PCU control module connected to actuators for seats and other peripheral devices. The wireless controller includes a set of contacts mapped to a matrix of switches within the PCU. The wireless receiver receives a contact signal from a user device configured for execution of a graphical interface of virtual contacts mapped to the set of contacts. When the user engages a virtual contact, the contact signal indicates the engaged virtual contact and the wireless controller engages the corresponding contact. The PCU control module detects the engaged contact as an engagement of the corresponding PCU switch and signals the appropriate seat or peripheral device actuator. Seats and peripheral devices may be simultaneously controlled via the physical PCU or via mobile device.

    摘要: A cabin control apparatus for installation in a cabin surface of an aircraft or other vehicle includes a set of haptic display devices in a housing, each haptic display device having a compact touch-sensitive display surface via which a passenger or user may provide control input for cabin services (e.g., lighting, seat adjustment, crew call, in-flight entertainment (IFE)). Each haptic display device includes haptic actuators for simulating the movement and feel of a mechanical button or switch. Each haptic display device provides information to the user as to the currently controlled cabin service or system, and the set of devices may be toggled between different operating modes wherein the set of devices controls a different set of services. Cabin services and systems controlled by the cabin control module may include passenger-specific context as well as network context, e.g., based on the time of day or the position of the vehicle.

    摘要: A cradle device is configured to removably store a terminal device provided with a first recess having a second recess on its inner side face, the second recess being dented in a direction intersecting a removable direction.     摘要: A system for wirelessly distributing multimedia content to an in-flight entertainment system includes a remote content server on which the multimedia content is stored. One or more content loader devices are each associated with an individual scheduled for travel on an aircraft, and each of the content loader devices has a data retrieval module that initiates a transfer of partitions of the multimedia content upon establishing a first data communications link to the remote content server, and a data loading module that transfers the multimedia content to the in-flight entertainment system over a second data communications link to the in-flight entertainment system. The remote content server defines and designates the partitions for transfer to a specific one of the content loader devices based at least in part upon a predefined association between the content loader device and the aircraft.
