A functionality is assigned to each of the one or more physical regions, each of the functionalities corresponding to a tactile input device, and a sequence of three-dimensional (3D) maps is received, the sequence of 3D maps containing at least a hand of a user of the computer, the hand positioned on one of the physical regions. The 3D maps are analyzed to detect a gesture performed by the user, and based on the gesture, an input is simulated for the tactile input device corresponding to the one of the physical regions.

A scanner is configured to scan the two or more beams in the raster pattern over a scene. A receiver is configured to receive the light reflected from the scene and to generate an output indicative of a time of flight of the pulses to and from points in the scene. A processor is coupled to process the output of the receiver so as to generate a 3D map of the scene.

    摘要: Optical apparatus includes an image sensor and an optical assembly, which is configured to focus optical radiation via an aperture stop onto the image sensor. The optical assembly includes a plurality of optical surfaces, consisting of a first, curved surface through which the optical radiation enters the assembly, a final surface through which the rays exit the assembly toward the image sensor, and at least two intermediate surfaces between the first and final surfaces. An interference filter, which has a center wavelength and a passband no greater than 4% of the center wavelength, and includes a coating formed on one of the optical surfaces. All rays of the optical radiation passing through the aperture stop are incident on the coating over a range of incidence angles with a half-width that is no greater than three fourths of the numerical aperture of the optical assembly.

The spots appearing on the feature in the 3D location are connected in order to extract separate, respective contours of the appendages.

    摘要: A method for sensing includes connecting an input of a trans-impedance amplifier (TIA) to a first terminal of a sensor, which generates a current in response to an input signal that is incident on the sensor, the signal comprising pulses of a characteristic duration. A resistor is connected in series between a second terminal of the sensor and a power supply, which is set to drive the sensor at a selected voltage. A capacitor is connected to the second terminal in parallel with the sensor and the TIA and in series with the resistor. An upper limit is set on the current that is to be input to the TIA from the sensor, and respective values of the resistor and the capacitor are chosen, responsively to the characteristic duration of the pulses and the selected voltage, to prevent the current input to the TIA from exceeding the upper limit.
