摘要: A system which, with data provided by one or more sensors, detects a user's alteration of the geometries of parts of his face, head, neck, and/or shoulders. It determines the extent of each alteration and normalizes it with respect to the maximum possible range of each alteration so as to assign to each part-specific alteration a numeric score indicative of its extent. The normalized part-specific scores are combined so as to produce a composite numeric code representative of the complete set of simultaneously-executed geometric alterations. Each composite code is translated, or interpreted, relative to an appropriate context defined by an embodiment an application executing on an embodiment, or by the user. For example, each composite code might be interpreted as, or assigned to, a specific alphanumeric letter, a color, a musical note, etc. Through the use of this system, a user may communicate data and/or commands to a computerized device, while retaining full use of his hands and his voice for other tasks, and while being free to focus his visual attention on something other than the system.

摘要: An electronic device estimates a pose of a hand by volumetrically deforming a signed distance field using a skinned tetrahedral mesh to locate a local minimum of an energy function, wherein the local minimum corresponds to the hand pose. The electronic device identifies a pose of the hand by fitting an implicit surface model of a hand to the pixels of a depth image that correspond to the hand. The electronic device uses a skinned tetrahedral mesh to warp space from a base pose to a deformed pose to define an articulated signed distance field from which the hand tracking module derives candidate poses of the hand. The electronic device then minimizes an energy function based on the distance of each corresponding pixel to identify the candidate pose that most closely approximates the pose of the hand.

摘要: Technologies are presented herein in support of a system and method for performing fingerprint recognition. Embodiments of the present invention concern a system and method for capturing a user's biometric features and generating an identifier characterizing the user's biometric features using a mobile device such as a smartphone. The biometric identifier is generated using imagery captured of a plurality of fingers of a user for the purposes of authenticating/identifying the user according to the captured biometrics and determining the user's liveness. The present disclosure also describes additional techniques for preventing erroneous authentication caused by spoofing. In some examples, the anti-spoofing techniques may include capturing one or more images of a user's fingers and analyzing the captured images for indications of liveness.

摘要: A user identification method and apparatus using recognition of a grip pattern of a lever-type door are provided. The user identification method using recognition of a grip pattern of a lever-type door includes activating a sensing module disposed within a lever of a vehicle door when a smart-key is sensed. A grip pattern is then sensed using the sensing module and a user profile that corresponds to the grip pattern is identified. A user-customization module is activated in response to the identified user profile.

摘要: A method to identify positions of fingers of a hand is described. The method includes capturing images of a first hand using a plurality of cameras that are part of a wearable device. The wearable device is attached to a wrist of a second hand and the plurality of cameras of the wearable device is disposed around the wearable device. The method includes repeating capturing of additional images of the first hand, the images and the additional images captured to produce a stream of captured image data during a session of presenting the virtual environment in a head mounted display (HMD). The method includes sending the stream of captured image data to a computing device that is interfaced with the HMD. The computing device is configured to process the captured image data to identify changes in positions of the fingers of the first hand.

摘要: Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for authenticating a user based on a fingertip gesture. The authentication apparatus may display a pattern generated based on geometric information about a hand geometry or size of a user, and may recognize a fingertip gesture via interaction with the user with respect to the pattern. The authentication apparatus may authenticate a user using the recognized fingertip gesture. The pattern may include a gesture inducement/relation pattern and a fake pattern. Information about the fingertip gesture may include fingertip touch locations of the fingertip gesture, a touch order of the fingertip touch locations, and a moving direction of the fingertip touch locations.

摘要: Acquired three-dimensional positional information is used to identify user created gesture(s), which gesture(s) are classified to determine appropriate input(s) to an associated electronic device or devices. Preferably at at least one instance of a time interval, the posture of a portion of a user is recognized, based at least one factor such as shape, position, orientation, velocity. Posture over each of the instance(s) is recognized as a combined gesture. Because acquired information is three-dimensional, two gestures may occur simultaneously.
