    摘要： A machine for single or double sided application of a liquid or viscous coating medium by way of at least one applicator unit onto the surface of a mating material web, especially a paper or cardboard web. A medium collecting device that is allocated to the applicator unit or to a dispensing component of the applicator unit which includes the dispensing openings, is equipped with a receiving and release component which is allocated to the medium collecting device and which is or can be mounted detachably on same. During the start of the application process the component releases the curtain or veil due to a common adjustment with the medium collecting device or of a section component of same relative to the curtain or veil from a rim extending across the moving background or from an edge extending across the moving background.

    摘要： The invention relates to a forming fabric, with a paper side fabric having paper side threads and with a wear side fabric having wear side threads. The paper side fabric and the wear side fabric are superimposed to one another and connected by binding threads weaving with both the paper side threads and the wear side threads, both extending in cross direction relative to the binding threads. The binding threads form part of the weave pattern of the paper side fabric and form part of the weave pattern of the wear side fabric, and alternate from weaving with the paper side fabric to weave with the wear side fabric and vice versa, thereby crossing each other forming crossing points. The wear side weave pattern is repeated by wear side repeat units, wherein the binding threads alternate such that one or less than one crossing point within each wear side weave repeat unit is formed and the ratio of the paper side threads to the wear side threads is greater than 1.

    摘要： A machine for producing and treating a web of material including a material web forming device, a dewatering and drying section, at least one application apparatus, a drying device and a processing device. The material web forming device forms a material web continuously from a supplied fibrous suspension. The dewatering and drying section is arranged along a material web path after the material web forming device. The section extracts water from the web by way of at least one of thermal and mechanical action. The at least one application apparatus is arranged along the material web path after the dewatering and drying section. The apparatus applies liquid or pasty application medium to at least one side of the web. The drying device is arranged along the material web path after the application apparatus. The drying device dries the moving material web to a final drying state. The processing device is arranged along the material web path after the drying device. The processing device at least one of processing, picking up and discharging the web. The at least one application apparatus includes at least one contactless application unit discharging application medium in a free application medium jet, an application medium curtain, an application medium veil or an application medium droplet spray. The at least one contactless application unit applying the application medium to the web on the basis of forces to the application medium, movement impulses imparted to the application medium and on movement of the application medium induced by the force of gravity.

In the case of indirect application the moving surface being the surface of a transfer element which transfers the application medium to the surface of the fibrous web. The device includes an applicator for applying the medium and a doctor device arranged downstream in the running direction of the moving surface for doctoring off and/or equalizing the medium applied to the moving surface. In order to collect excess medium that has not remained on the moving surface and/or has not reached the latter, a flexible collecting part covering the interspace between applicator and doctor device is provided, which extends transversely with respect to the running direction of the moving surface and parallel to the applicator and the doctor device.

The former includes two endless wire belts arranged to form a twin-wire zone, a dewatering element, and a headbox positioned at an angle relative to an imaginary first horizontal plane. The twin-wire zone includes a first section in which the two wire belts are arranged to run over the dewatering element. The two wire belts are further positioned to form a wedge-like inlet gap that is structured and arranged to receive a fibrous stock suspension directly from the headbox. Additional dewatering elements are utilized. The twin-wire zone includes a second section in which the two wire belts along with the fibrous web formed between the two wire belts are arranged to run downward over the additional dewatering elements. The positioning an electromagnetic transmitter and an electromagnetic receiver step includes positioning them proximate to a side of the first ply. The radiating the fibrous web step is accomplished by the electromagnetic transmitter radiating the fibrous web with at least one measuring wavelength and at least one reference wavelength, the second ply having different optical characteristics at the measuring wavelength than at the reference wavelength. The receiver receives a measuring signal, which is returned at the measuring wavelength and the receiver receives a reference signal that is returned at the reference wavelength. The basis weight of the first ply being determined by utilizing a comparison of the measuring signal and the reference signal.
