    摘要: An apparatus for measuring vehicle acceleration includes a housing comprising an interior space and one or more contacts supported in the housing. Each contact includes a pin portion extending outside the housing and a spring contact portion positioned above an ASIC receptacle inside the housing. An accelerometer ASIC is positioned the ASIC receptacle. The accelerometer ASIC includes contact pads that engage and deflect the spring contact portions. The resilient spring characteristics of the spring contact portions applying a retention force on the accelerometer ASIC. A retention clip connected to the housing has a portion extending into the interior space and includes a portion that engages the housing to secure the retention clip in the housing. The retention clip includes portions that engage and maintain the position(s) of the contact(s) inside the housing, and portions that engage the accelerometer ASIC and maintain the position of the accelerometer ASIC inside the housing.

    摘要: Systems and methods fuse sensor data in a vehicle. The system includes an image processor formed as a first system on a chip (SoC) to process images obtained from outside the vehicle by a camera to classify and identify objects. A surround-view processor formed as a second SoC processes close-in images obtained from outside the vehicle by a surround-view camera to classify and identify obstructions within a specified distance of the vehicle. The close-in images are closer to the vehicle than the images obtained by the camera. An ultrasonic processor obtains distance to one or more of the obstructions, and a fusion processor formed as a microcontroller fuses information from the surround-view processor and the ultrasonic processor based on a speed of the vehicle being below a threshold value.

The steering apparatus includes a steering wheel rotatable about a steering axis to effect turning of the steerable vehicle wheels. A first shaft is connected to the steering wheel and rotatable about a first shaft axis. A first nut is threadably connected to and longitudinally movable along the first shaft. A second nut is connected to the first nut such that the first and second nuts are prevented from moving longitudinally relative to one another. A second shaft is rotatable about a second shaft axis. The second nut is threadably connected to and longitudinally movable along the second shaft. A motor is connected to the second shaft and controllable to apply a force to the steering wheel through the first and second shafts and the first and second nuts.
