As the first electrode and the second electrode include a metal included in the at least one pixel electrode, the touch display device can provide an effect of reducing the thickness of a display panel even though a touch sensor is embedded in the display panel.

Abstract: An agent computer system uses a session-less login process to log in two users in a same application session. The system establishes an application session with an application server and a user session with the application server by authenticating a first user using an identity provider system (IdP). The system detects a request to perform an action by the first user within the application session that requires a second user's authentication. While maintaining the user session, the system requests a session-less authentication of the second user by transmitting an authentication request, which includes a flag indicating that the requested authentication is a session-less authentication. The system receives a confirmation of the authentication of the second user without establishing a second user session and performs the requested action in response to receiving the confirmation of the authentication of the second user.

The online system displays a user interactive map of the geographic region to the picker. The map displays a pin at the location of each retailer in the geographic region, which describes the categorization determined for the retailer. The picker selects a pin, which causes the user interactive map to display a notification characterizing the demand for services at the retailer.

Abstract: An item recognition system uses a top camera and one or more peripheral cameras to identify items. The item recognition system may use image embeddings generated based on images captured by the cameras to generate a concatenated embedding that describes an item depicted in the image. The item recognition system may compare the concatenated embedding to reference embeddings to identify the item. Furthermore, the item recognition system may detect when items are overlapping in an image. For example, the item recognition system may apply an overlap detection model to a top image and a pixel-wise mask for the top image to detect whether an item is overlapping with another in the top image. The item recognition system notifies a user of the overlap if detected.

Abstract: An electronic intraocular device is implantable into the capsular bag of a wearer's eye. In some cases, the intraocular device may include a femtoprojector. The femtoprojector projects images onto the wearer's retina when the electronic intraocular device is implanted in the wearer's eye. Different haptic designs may be used to keep the femtoprojector in position. In some embodiments, an imager is contained in a contact lens worn by the wearer. Images captured by the contact lens imager may be relayed to the intraocular femtoprojector. In some cases, the intraocular device may include an electronic capsular tension ring with a femtoimager. The femtoimager may capture images of the wearer's retina, for example for purposes of monitoring eye health.

Abstract: A cluster computing system maintains a first set of queues for short queries and a set second set for longer queries. The first set is allocated a majority of the cluster's processing resources and processes queries on a first in first out basis. The second set is allocated a minority of the cluster's processing resources which are shared among queries in the second set. Accordingly, the system assigns each query to the first set of queues for a fixed amount of resource time. While a query is processing, the system monitors the query's resource time and reassigns the query to the second set of queues if the query has not completed within the allotted amount of resource time. Thus, short queries receive the necessary resources to complete quickly without getting stuck behind longer queries while ensuring that longer queries continue to make progress.
