    摘要: It relates to a thermo-responsive dual band electrochromic device, which is capable of selectively controlling the amount of sunlight radiation transmitted in the visible and in the near-infrared regions by operating under four distinct optical regimes, namely: fully transparent, visible blocking, near-infrared blocking, and fully blocking. The device can be regulated either by an electric stimulus, namely by controlling the sign and the intensity of the applied bias voltage, or by a thermal stimulus. In the latter the attenuation of incoming thermal radiation results increased as temperature increases. The thermo-responsive dual band electrochromic device comprises a first electrode consisting of a first transparent conductive substrate topped by a first electro-optically active layer and a second electrode consisting of a second transparent conductive substrate topped by a second electro-optically active layer separated by a temperature-dependent ion conductive layer consisting of a thermo-responsive polymer gel, an ion conductor and a plasticizer.

At least part excess epitaxial material produced during a high-speed rotational molding process of an epitaxial layer in an MOCVD furnace may drop into the receiving groove and not remain on the epitaxial layer.

    摘要: A superconductive vortex valve apparatus and related methods of operation are disclosed. A superconductive vortex valve (SVV) apparatus has a thin film formed from a superconducting material positioned on a substrate. A receive antenna is positioned on the thin film. A resonant cavity is positioned proximate to the substrate, the thin film, and the receive antenna. A broadcast antenna is in electromagnetic connection with the receive antenna and is positioned proximate to the thin film. A radio frequency (RF) power supply is configured to supply electrical power to the broadcast antenna. A magnetic bias is applied to the thin film in a location proximate to the resonant cavity. The SVV may be embedded within a resonant circuit which may be driven with pulse width modulation (PWM), such as with a resonant circuit driven with PWM which has two PWM-driven resonant circuits in series driven in quadrature.

    摘要: A method for diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders (TMD) and related systems and apparatuses are disclosed. In the method, a visual evaluation of the patient in a standing position is first conducted. Condyle position in ear canals of the patient is palpated during jaw movement. A hip level of the patient is evaluated when back teeth of the patient are closed. If hips are unlevel, a first spacer is inserted between front teeth of the patient. The condyle position felt in the ear canals of the patient are re-palpated during jaw movements with the first spacer in place. The patient then raises and lowers his or her body by going up on their toes, and dropping to their heels. A reevaluation of the hip level of the patient is conducted and a positive or negative TMD diagnosis is indicated based on the reevaluation of the hip level of the patient.
