摘要: Systems and methods are provided for microbial identification using cleavable tags. Control information is sent to a mass spectrometer to fragment one or more nucleic acid primers labeled with a first tag and monitor for an intensity of the first tag in a mass spectrometry (MS) method. An ion source provides a beam of ions from a polymerase chain reaction amplified sample that includes one or more nucleic acid primers labeled with the first tag. The first tag binds to one or more nucleic acid primers of a known microbe and is cleaved from the nucleic acid primers during the MS method. The mass spectrometer receives the beam of ions and is adapted to perform the MS method on the beam of ions. If the intensity of the first tag received from the mass spectrometer exceeds a threshold value, the known microbe is identified in the sample.

摘要: In one method, a piece of nonwoven PET or PP fabric is formed into a tote bag using a bag forming device. Seams of the tote bag are ultrasonically welded using an ultrasonic bag welding device. The ultrasonic bag welding device includes at least one sonotrode. In another method, BOPP film is received and a full-color graphic is printed on the BOPP film for each tote bag using a printer. The printed BOPP film is received from the printer and nonwoven PP or PET fabric is received from a roll of nonwoven PP or PET fabric using a laminator. The printed BOPP film is laminated to the nonwoven PP or PET fabric. The printed BOPP film laminated to nonwoven PP or PET fabric is received from the laminator and a finished version of each tote bag is produced using an ultrasonic bag welding device.

摘要: A unique identifier id(f) is generated for file f and stored on a content address server. A symmetric encryption key KF is generated for file f. File f is divided into n segments. A unique identifier id(si) is generated for each segment si. Each segment si of the n segments is encrypted using the symmetric key KF using a symmetric encryption algorithm, producing n encrypted segments esi. Each encrypted segment esi is stored with its identifier id(si) on the first peer device and at least one other peer device. For each encrypted segment esi, the identifier id(si) is stored on the content address server with the identifier id(f). A public key KU2 of a second user is retrieved, the symmetric key KF is encrypted with key KU2, producing wrapped key KW2=EAKU2(KF), and key KW2 is stored on the content address server with identifier id(f).

摘要: Electrical impulses are received from a beating heart. The electrical impulses are converted to an ECG waveform. The ECG waveform is converted to a frequency domain waveform, which, in turn, is separated into two or more different frequency domain waveforms, which, in turn, are converted into a plurality of time domain cardiac electrophysiological subwaveforms and discontinuity points between these subwaveforms. The plurality of subwaveforms and discontinuity points are compared to a database of subwaveforms and discontinuity points for normal and abnormal patients or to a set of rules developed from the database. An ST segment and one or more ST subwaveforms within the ST segment are identified from the plurality of subwaveforms and discontinuity points based on the comparison. The ECG waveform with the one or more ST subwaveforms within the ST segment is displayed.

摘要: Systems and methods are used to analyze a sample using variable mass selection window widths. A tandem mass spectrometer is instructed to perform at least two fragmentation scans of a sample with different mass selection window widths using a processor. The tandem mass spectrometer includes a mass analyzer that allows variable mass selection window widths. The selection of the different mass selection window widths can be based on one or more properties of sample compounds. The properties may include a sample compound molecular weight distribution that is calculated from a molecular weight distribution of expected compounds or is determined from a list of molecular weights for one or more known compounds. The tandem mass spectrometer can also be instructed to perform an analysis of the sample before instructing the tandem mass spectrometer to perform the at least two fragmentation scans of the sample.

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for calculating the area of a peak profile using information from one or more correlated peak profiles. One or more compounds are separated from a mixture over time using a separation device. Traces of the one or more compounds are monitored during the separation using a tandem mass spectrometer. A plurality of intensity measurements are received using a processor. A first peak profile for a compound of interest is detected from the plurality of intensity measurements for a first trace and one or more correlated peak profiles for the compound of interest are detected from the plurality of intensity measurements for one or more other traces using the processor. An area of the first peak profile is calculated based on the one or more correlated peak profiles using the processor.

摘要: A system is disclosed for identifying a precursor ion of a product ion in a scanning DIA experiment. A precursor ion mass selection window is scanned across a precursor ion mass range of interest, producing a series of overlapping windows across the precursor ion mass range. Each overlapping window is fragmented and mass analyzed, producing a plurality of product ion spectra for the mass range. A product ion is selected from the spectra. Intensities for the selected product ion are retrieved for at least one scan across the mass range producing a trace of intensities versus precursor ion m/z. A matrix multiplication equation is created that describes how one or more precursor ions correspond to the trace for the selected product ion. The matrix multiplication equation is solved for one or more precursor ions corresponding to the selected product ion using a numerical method.

摘要: At least one product ion mass spectrum produced by a tandem mass spectrometer is received. A chemical structure of a compound that corresponds to the at least one product ion mass spectrum is received. One or more elemental compositions are assigned to at least one peak in the at least one product ion spectrum based on the chemical structure using the processor. At least one elemental composition of the one or more assigned elemental compositions is selected for the at least one peak using the processor. The mass of the at least one peak is converted to the mass of the selected at least one elemental composition using the processor, producing a product ion mass spectrum with higher mass accuracy.
