    摘要: A floating screw turbine device with adjustable rear deflectors/diffusors is disclosed. Three pontoons, spaced apart, carry water ducts in which screw turbines are mounted. Screw turbines, mounted in a V configuration, have mirror symmetrical pitches of the screws measured over the centre of symmetry that passes through the central pontoon. Such a configuration minimizes the vibration of the device. Rear deflectors/diffusors have an adjustable pitch relative to the floors of the water ducts by which they can affect the water flow velocity through the water ducts. In one embodiment, the optimum pitch is selected according to the previously performed computational fluid dynamics simulation for the device, where the pitch is changed using hydraulic or electromechanical actuators. In another variant an artificial neural network is taught to model a global function of the system dynamics in order to achieve optimal operation.

    摘要: An application running on a mobile device presents information about a lighting product, for example, selected from a catalog on a graphical user interface via one or more elements (e.g. a touchscreen) of the mobile device and captures an identification of the selected product. The user interface includes a user selectable indication of a lighting design tool, e.g. a button, icon or other link to the tool. User selection of the tool indicator initiates access to the lighting design tool; and the application passes the identification of the selected product to the lighting design tool. The lighting design tool processes the identification of the selected product and an output of the lighting design tool is presented based in part on photometric information about the selected product automatically retrieved by and populated to the lighting design tool without further manual input to obtain the photometric information about the selected product.

    摘要: A system for certifying a concentration of gas in a cylinder includes a gas cell configured to receive a sample gas from a cylinder, and an FTIR module coupled to the gas cell for scanning the sample gas and forming a beam spectrum. A processor is coupled to the FTIR module for calculating an intensity response of the sample gas based on the beam spectrum. A storage device is included for storing data points of a plot of intensity response of a known gas versus concentration levels. The processor is configured to interpolate between the stored data points of the plot to determine an interpolated data point corresponding to the intensity response of the sample gas. The processor provides to the user a concentration level of the sample gas, based on the interpolated data point.

    摘要: A system and method for auto-focusing light. The system includes at least one focusing lens operable to direct light toward a focal point. The system further includes a sensor array disposed adjacent to the lens assembly such that the light through the lens assembly is directed to the sensor array near the focal point and a bubble array having a plurality of bubble generators. The bubble array supports the sensor array and the bubble generators are operable to maneuver the supported sensor array with respect to the focal point. Such a light focusing system is able to provide an auto-focus capability to a camera system that does not have a large amount of space available for a motor-driven auto-focus system. Furthermore, the bubble array is power efficient and does not require the amount of energy to operate as is required for a motor-driven auto-focus system.

    摘要: A camera provides an autofocus function by capturing a series of images when a lens is at different positions, analyzing the images to identify a best-focused image, and outputting the best-focused image. Unselected images can be discarded. The camera can include a FIFO buffer that receives image data from an image sensor as the image sensor captures images. When a photographer activates a shutter button, an analysis system, which may be implemented in software, analyzes the images in the FIFO buffer and selects the best-focused image for output. In alternative embodiments, the movement of the lens and the capture of the images can be before or in response to activation of the shutter button.
