    Abstract: An image decoding device, includes a filter unit using, as an input, a decoded signal prior to the filtering process and output a filtered decoded signal. The filter unit performs clipping processing on the decoded signal prior to the filtering process such that the absolute value of a differential value between a reference pixel value and a pixel value of the decoded signal prior to the filtering process is less than or equal to a predefined threshold value, and to generate the filtered decoded signal through the linear weighted addition of the value after the clipping processing is performed and the pixel value of the decoded signal prior to the filtering process; and a large-small relationship between the threshold value for a luma signal and the threshold value for a chroma signal are defined such that the large-small relationship is unchanged when an internal bit depth is changed.

    Abstract: Methods/systems for monitoring fault duration in circuit interrupt devices perform edge detection using a second time derivative of a current or voltage waveform. The second derivative reveals peaks that may be used to establish starting and ending times for the fault duration. In some embodiments, the second derivatives are derived only for portions of the waveform within time windows that enclose the fault duration starting and ending times, respectively. The above arrangement provides a consistent way of determining durations of transitory events, such as durations of faults, and the like, that does not rely on waveform zero-crossings. The duration determinations may be implemented locally within a device, and/or the device may acquire and transfer underlying waveform data to an external system for the duration determinations. Data from multiple devices may be collected over time for analysis and modeling to provide remote support and monitoring of local devices via digital twins.

The second map information acquisition unit acquires second map information. The display displays map data on the basis of at least one of the first map information or the second map information. The display control unit controls the form of displaying the map data on the display in accordance with a predetermined condition. The display control unit causes the map data to be displayed at a greater scale in a case where the map data is displayed on the basis of the second map information than in a case where the map data is displayed on the basis of only the first map information.

    Abstract: A substantially cylindrical glass bottle that is susceptible to accidental rolling and breakage when stored on its side has been structurally modified by forming a series of between approximately 8 and 24 small protrusions or bumpers spaced apart at regular intervals along either one path or two separated paths around the bottle's circumference at certain distances from the shoulder and base of the bottle. The bumpers project outward between approximately 2 mm to 6 mm from the bottle's outer sidewall surface, and pairs of these bumpers stably support the bottle stored on its side without the bottle rocking or rolling.

    Abstract: A vehicle control system includes first to third prediction path generators, an assist travel controller, a divergence determining unit, a transition controller, and a travel path selector. The first prediction path generator generates a first prediction path of a vehicle based on map information and positional information of the vehicle. The second prediction path generator generates a second prediction path of the vehicle based on external environment information. The third prediction path generator generates a third prediction path based on the two prediction paths. The assist travel controller performs hands-off driving. The divergence determining unit determines whether a predetermined divergence has occurred between the two prediction paths. The transition controller performs a transition from the hands-off driving to hands-on driving in a case where the divergence has occurred. The travel path selector selects the third prediction path as a travel path of the vehicle during the transition.

    Abstract: A balloon guide catheter including a catheter shaft having a reflowable material outer layer. Secured without an adhesive to the catheter shaft is a balloon having a bond interface area with a plurality of punctures defined therein secured about the outer layer of the catheter shaft via seepage of the reflowable material of the outer layer into the plurality of punctures forming a radially outward reflow bond between the catheter shaft and the balloon. Along the bond interface area about the perimeter of the opening in the balloon, a single reflow jacket is secured to the balloon via seepage of the reflowable material of the single reflow jacket into the plural punctures of the balloon forming a radially inward reflow bond. The single reflow jacket is made of a reflowable material and has an opening defined therein aligned with the balloon.
