Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of detecting an access address of a physical channel in a Bluetooth signal to which channel coding is applied, the method including: performing initial signal processing in a unit of a specific length in a preamble section of a Bluetooth signal; and performing channel decoding in the specific length for a preamble part remained after the initial signal processing, wherein the specific length is a bit pattern length of a bitstream which is repeated in the preamble section or a length of a bitstream input for channel decoding. According to the present invention, channel decoding is performed in a unit of a bit pattern length of an access address from the remaining preamble part, and thus detection of the access address is available even though a start point of the access address is not provided.

Abstract: A receiver performs independent packet detection using synchronization words with orthogonality when multiple signals on which frequency-shift keying is performed coexist. The receiver includes a frequency demodulator generating a quasi-amplitude modulation signal that has a value proportional to frequency shift from the first signal or second signal being received, a sign discriminator discriminating a sign of the generated quasi-amplitude modulation signal, and a multi-binary correlator calculating a first correlation value which is a binary correlation value between the discriminated sign and a first synchronization word and calculating a second correlation value which is a binary correlation value between the discriminated sign and a second synchronization word.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a Bluetooth signal receiving device and method. The Bluetooth signal receiving device includes an energy detector circuit, a radio frequency (RF) power detector circuit, an analog-digital converter circuit, and an automatic gain control circuit. The energy detector circuit detects a significant signal, having energy higher than background noise by a threshold value or more, from a received signal. The RF power detector circuit detects the magnitude of the received signal. The analog-digital converter circuit converts the analog value of the received signal into a digital value, and outputs the digital value. When the significant signal is detected, the automatic gain control circuit determines any one of predetermined coarse gain intervals to be a first coarse gain interval of the received signal by taking into account the magnitude of the received signal detected by the RF power detection circuit.
