Abstract:
A switch system wherein the housing consists of a spatially injection-molded conductor support (MID technique). The switch system is designed such that it can be largely adapted to the requirements of automotive technology. To that end, the top of the housing has a surface which can be equipped as desired with electrical and/or mechanical components and its underside has pin-like projections which are connected to strip conductor and act as plugs.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a control knurl for the rotary adjustment of a potentiometer in an automotive vehicle which minimizes light loss of the light guide in a control knurl. The light guide of the control knurl reflects the light from inside onto the peripheral surface of the control knurl. A bright protective coating encompasses the light guide and reflects the beams of light which emit from the boundary surface of the light guide. Light loss is also avoided by not applying protective coating on mirror surfaces which redirect the light.
Abstract:
A water- and/or dust-tight toggle switch has an LED switch. The LED or other luminous elements are impermeably shielded from the surroundings by a housing of a comparatively simple design. The housing is provided with cast windows which make possible light output from the luminous element disposed within the interior of the housing. Favorable refinements pertain to the arrangement of a light guide on the actuator cap and also the protection of the inserted plug through extended, guided-down housing walls.
Abstract:
An improved ignition switch for motor vehicles comprises a common fixed contact, several independent fixed contacts, and several movable bridging contacts. The bridging contacts are individually operated by tappets driven by cams on a rotatable operating member. Guide sleeves mounted in a guide plate restrict the tappet to displacements exclusively in parallel to the axis of rotation of the operating member, thereby preventing transmission of side forces to the bridging contacts. The tappets are unattached to the bridging contacts and guide plates are provided for the bridging contacts to further minimize sideways displacement of these contacts due to off center tappet application. Closing pressure is supplied to the rigid bridging contacts by a separate spring to provide consistent pressure regardless of contact temperature. Bridging contacts, tappets, and guide sleeves are located in parallel to facilitate alignment. The common fixed contact comprises at least two connection arms for attaching power supply cables. The common fixed contact has a flange to improve heat radiation; tappets are made of temperature resistant, heat insulating plastics to prevent damage from high temperatures generated at the contacts.
Abstract:
A device for adjusting the inclination of vehicular headlamps includes an electric motor for positioning the headlamps, an adjusting switch for selecting one of a plurality of predetermined headlamp positions and a reversing switch connected to the adjusting switch. The reversing switch is mechanically coupled to the actuator of the adjusting switch such that when the direction of headlamp inclination is reversed, the motor direction is reversed thereby preventing momentary movement of the headlamps through unintended angles of inclination.
Abstract:
A pet kennel that is structured to receive an animal includes an upper kennel portion and a lower kennel portion that include first and second engagement structures that are slidingly engageable. The upper kennel portion is situated in a first position atop the lower kennel portion offset from one another along a longitudinal axis of the pet kennel. The upper kennel portion is then translated along the longitudinal axis with respect to the lower pet kennel portion toward a second, assembled position to cause the first engagement elements and the second engagement elements to become slidingly engaged and to cause the upper and lower kennel portions to become aligned with one another. The upper kennel portion additionally includes a pair of latches that are engageable with the lower shell portion in the second position of the pet kennel to retain the upper and lower kennel portions in the second position
